Desert & Delta Safaris — Local services in North-West District

I used Desert and Delta Safaris because I wanted to booked Chobe Game Lodge, and it was the email address included on their website for reservations. Chelsea Sanderson was the reservation consultant that reached out and handled my booking, but I unfortunately would not recommend her. When you’re booking 5 star, high-end accommodations, you expect excellent service. Chelsea can complete the booking but will not proactively reach out with reminders nor give you all the relevant details. I have worked with many booking consultants and traveled extensively, but she was not good nor did she seem appreciative of my business. When it was time for the final payment, she did not send the link on the day it was due. I had to reach out and ask for it a few days past due because I never heard from her and couldn’t complete the payment without the link. Then when asking her to arrange transportation, she didn’t ask if I wanted private or group transfer and didn’t communicate what was booked or explain pick up information until I inquired two days before. Even though the transportation company wild horizons (which is excellent) doesn’t give pick up time until the day before, she failed to explain or share any information with me unless I asked. Then she was snippy with me and said “as previously advised,” which wasn’t true—I asked her to screenshot where she advised it because I had all her emails and she shared nothing. I then never heard back from her. Chobe Game Lodge is a wonderful place to stay, but use a different booking agent with Desert and Delta Safaris. Our guide Nestor was caring and knowledgable about the desert animals and birds as well as the history of the Sand and Himba people.
