The Vidigal tour is well worth booking! I did the tour twice: once with Vagner (he speaks Portuguese and Spanish) and again with my sons and Vagner’s brother Carlos, who speaks English. Take an Uber to the Sheraton hotel and share your location while on your way), and from there, they will take you for a walk to the exit of Vidigal. Then, you go all the way up on a motorbike taxi, which is a must-do Brazilian experience! At the top, you will discover an ocean of peace and tranquillity at the sports project and court. From there to the amazing rooftop bar while the guys overload you with photos and videos, so no worries if you are short on selfies. His explanations were thoughtful and added depth to the experience. He also spoke both Spanish and English, which made communication easy when needed.

Read moreMe and my two friends went on a big tour through the Rocinha and Vidigal favelas. From the first moment we met the tour guides we instantly felt a welcoming and warm feeling. They were so nice and funny it took away all the worries we had about going to the favelas. We met up at the meeting point. Drove up to the Favelas together in Groups. They gave us instructions when we are allowed to take pictures and when not. Simultaneously explaining the origins and the current situations in the favelas. Their projects and support for the kids and parents living there. A must do tour if you ever come to Rio De Janeiro. And definitley with these tour guides. Thank you for an amazing experience and a...
