Our journey with LaunchBoom and in turn ScaleBoom began with the intention of crowdfunding, but as we progressed with production, we discovered a quick manufacturing solution that made us rethink our GTM strategy. We decided to skip crowdfunding & jump straight into eCommerce sales. Our main concern was how we were going to figure out eCommerce when starting at zero knowledge & only having 4-6 weeks to figure it out prior to having inventory on hand ready to sell. When our contacts at LaunchBoom told us about their ScaleBoom program you can imagine our relief. It held up to the potential promise.
On day zero with ScaleBoom, we were able to get our hands on the ScaleBoom program's classroom content that helped with everything from store setup to eComm landing page setup to Meta (FB/Insta) advertising setup to email flow setup and a whole lot more! We had an awesome onboarding call with the program lead that helped round out our key questions plus multiple office hour sessions plus one off question responses from ScaleBoom's coaches. We were able to set up our online store/email campaigns & start to pre-sell into our crowdfunding leads/reservation holders in just 2 weeks instead of 2 months as we imagined. With ScaleBoom's consultation we were then able to immediately jump into advertising further building our pre-sales over the subsequent 4 weeks before we even had inventory available! Every week we were testing new emails/advertising/landing pages with guidance from our ScaleBoom coaches and refining our eCommerce machine. We went from 0 to 100 at a speed we wouldn't have otherwise felt comfortable/confident moving without the ScaleBoom program's excellent content, coaching & advice.
The general experience with ScaleBoom has been incredible for an eCommerce brand starting from essentially nothing to executing like a true eCommerce business in just 10 weeks. From store setup to advertising to email marketing, analytics, tracking pixels implementation, creative testing (website + ads) and business dashboards... there was not a core area of eCommerce startup & scaling that the program didn't cover in a range of formats. This included training modules and a knowledge base, office hours + Q&A with experts like the lead coach/consultant of the program Spencer whose years of experience in scaling eCommerce brands has been immensely helpful when translated into consultation on our own particular business. That coaching plus additional consultation from the ScaleBoom program's frequent inside/outside eCommerce knowledge experts has proven invaluable. And finally, but in many ways just as important... the ScaleBoom program includes fellow founders/operators who are dealing with the same general challenges/opps/issues you are. Being able to learn from their observations/ issues/opportunities/mistakes and more before you even encounter them yourself is incredible!
We sold out our first batch of inventory in 10 weeks & consistently lowered our cost of acquisition each week all the way to a net profitable level over that same time period. ScaleBoom condensed the time we were able to achieve this in and provide a basis to scaling a successful eCommerce business where we could build up in-house knowledge in months not years plus learn how to test at lightning speed using best practices. And they even provided a business operating dashboard so you can stay on top of the big picture! We feel we're just scratching the surface both with our own potential and the value the program can provide to us over the long-term. There's not a week that goes by where our most important question, opportunity, risk or issue of the moment isn't answered with expert advice & "been there" level of know-how/knowledge on eCommerce business/revenue scaling. Prior to contacting LaunchBoom, I received a utility patent for my invention and worked with a leading global manufacturer to perfect my product and get it ready for production. However, I was unsure of where to start when it came to bringing my product to market.
LaunchBoom was incredibly helpful in teaching me all the basics for a successful product launch. Despite not moving forward with the crowdfunding route, I was able to refine my website copy, enhance the quality of my visual assets, and gain valuable skills in tools like Meta's business system, ad optimization, MailChimp, and more—all of which have made the transition from crowdfunding to a more traditional eCommerce strategy much easier.
Not every product is a perfect fit for Kickstarter, but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad product or won’t launch successfully; it just means it needs a different strategy. LaunchBoom was instrumental in analyzing the ad performance data to empirically validate that an eCommerce strategy was the best fit to successfully launch my product.

I highly recommend LaunchBoom to anyone who is launching a new product but is unsure where to start. Once you go through their program, you may discover that Kickstarter is the right path for you and achieve excellent success in crowdfunding, which is awesome. Or, like me, you may realize there is a lot of interest in your product, but the audience is broader and encompasses many people outside of the crowdfunding community.
In my case, my ads were getting tons of clicks and engagement, but the whole Kickstarter launch concept didn’t resonate with my target market.
