My wife and I went into the Burlington location on Saturday Feb. 16 to upgrade her phone.
We ended up dealing with Alex who quickly found a good deal and a phone to upgrade to. We figured this was a good sign so we went through with the transaction.
From that point Alex's attention absolutely disappeared. He regularly walked away to help other customers, lost track of what he was doing, would drift off and start playing on his own cell phone and he eventually input the wrong information into the system, which we did not realize at the time. He also wasn't able to move the existing phone number over to this new account, something I know is absolutely possible, yet he wasn't able to wrap his head around it.
After approximately 2 hours (far too long for a simple cell phone activation) he informed us that the phone would be ordered in and available no later than Wednesday, Feb 20th. Wednesday came and went and we heard nothing. I had to contact the store on Friday, Feb 22nd. I was informed that the phone was in and I could come pick it up. I have no idea how long it had been there, but again Alex's lack of customer service was appalling.
Due to Alex's incompetence, my wife had a phone that she couldn't use because Bell had identified it as a fraudulent case since the information Alex put in the system does not match the real billing information.
I had to spend an additional hour or more on the phone with Bell and they informed me that the issue must be fixed in person at a Bell location. Again, we were being inconvenienced by Alex and his lack of customer service and inability to focus on what he is doing.
We are incredibly frustrated now and will be taking our business elsewhere in the future.
Note: This information was sent to the Visions customer service department on the 21st or 22nd of February. It is now over 3 weeks later and we never even received a response from the head office.
Again, this is absolutely terrible customer service and we are incredibly disappointed in the company that claims to be the greatest thing in electronics since Future Shop. But I guess it's to be expected since the store looks like a bargain warehouse.
Thanks for...
Read moreI went into the Burlington store to purchase a Panasonic cordless telephone. I viewed it on there web site. When I got there they had a refurbished unit that the immediately offered to me at a lower price than advertised. I asked if the box could be opened to I could be sure all the pieces were there. Also wanted to check the quality to make sure it was presentable. They refused to open the package so I could check. They said if there is a problem bring it back. A full refund can be had if there is an issue.
I took it home and opened the box. There were no batteries in the box for the phones. So I took it back to the store. and asked for a refund. What I received was an argument. I was offered regular batteries, not rechargeable batteries like the phone requires I was made to feel like it was my fault that there was an issue. The arguments came from a female employee and an older person, maybe manager I do not know. The only person that apologized was the original salesperson. They tried to tell me it did not come with batteries, but they would give some AAA batteries. Would that make me happy? My answer was no. They were not the correct ones, they were not rechargeable, why would I want those.
They had another Panasonic phone someone had returned so they opened the box. Inside this box was batteries. The correct type NiMH batteries. We will give you the batteries then you have it all. No offer to compensate my time and gas to have to return to the store. No apology from the female employee or older person. Made me feel like it was my fault that there were no batteries in the unit.
This was my first purchase at this store. They will not see me back again. To basically feel accused and at fault, and not even were sorry, except from my initial salesperson. The way I was treated was not the way I expect to be treated as a consumer. Regardless I should have returned the unit. I just hope it works otherwise I will have to return and deal with this again. I am being forced to click on one star otherwise I cannot post this. Should...
Read moreIf you've always wondered what it would be like to buy your electronics out of the back of a van, shop here. Otherwise, best buy is literally around the corner. I bought a TV here yesterday. As soon as the machine said "Approved" they informed me they couldn't print me a receipt. The manager (Daniel) "Let me" leave since he could see I'd paid. So sweet, considering I was the one leaving without any sort of proof of payment. Never the less, he promised the receipt would be emailed to me in a few hours, so I took the TV home. By 8:50pm (10 hours after purchase) I still had no receipt. I gave them a call and was told their didn't have any of my information or the purchase record, however they were able to call me by name?! Either way, my buddy Daniel had left for the night, so the guy on the phone promised it would be resolved by noon today. At 1:30pm, I went into the store. My buddy Daniel did his best to move in the opposite direction as I came in (really?!) he then proceeded to start making a sale to a customer, even though the customer was almost insisting he deal with me first. It was cool, I had comfy shoes so I waited. Eventually he offered to print my receipt, right after he attempted to bully the other customer into a car starer system he didn't want. The whole manager experience was SO weird that even the guy he was ignoring me for, pulled me aside to comment on how sketchy the whole place is. Eventually I got my receipt, but really.....it's not even bad customer service, it's downright shady. Buy it off the back of a truck ladies and gents. At least you know...
