The food was great and the portions were plentiful. That is the only good things I have to say about this location.
The waiting time is absolutely brutal. spent far too long waiting to be seated, placing our order, getting our food and paying our bill. We spent well over an hour just waiting on staff, when in total we spent less than 1.5 hours there from start to finish!
Also their menu and advertisements are somewhat deceiving. My brother wanted a root beer float (there was a sign on the wall that said floats on it, so I thought that they would serve them). Was told that they don't make them anymore. Ok fine, so ended up ordering a hot apple cider instead.... which ended up being warmed up apple juice with some cinnamon in it! Did not even taste or look like cider! lol maybe its just me but apple juice and cider are two different things...
And to top all this off, the manager hardly took responsibility for anything. When I asked him about the sign issue, he flat out told me that the sign issue was not their fault there menu changes all the time and that the sign saying "floats" on it is a mirror and it would be hard to change it. While I can appreciate that menu items do change regularly, an apology would have been more appropriate instead of stating the issue was not his fault.
When I brought up the fact that the apple cider was improperly advertised, he said that I was absolutely right and it in fact was apple juice, but it was a "high quality apple juice" so that makes up for the fact! Well if your are going to use apple juice, then advertise it as that!! As for the wait times, I was told that they don't try to rush their customers, but want people to get in and out in a timely fashion. Everything this guy told me seemed like he was trying to deflect any blame from landing on him. Completely unprofessional way to handle customer concerns in my opinion.
We also made comment that we had waited 25 minutes for the server to bring over our bill. While waiting, we noticed her in the back having her shoulders rubbed by the manager and talking with other staff. When she finally did come over so we could ask for the bill, it was only because I had stuck my body out into the walkway so she had to stop.
In the end the manager ended up removing the apple "cider" from the bill and one of the desserts we ordered... which hardly makes up for the brutal customer service and horrendous professionalism that was shown by them.
Not impressed and will not be...

Read moreI honestly don’t even know how to review Demetres. I can’t leave a negative review, because I’ve laughed so many times just thinking about my experience.
We came in after a movie for a little dessert, I haven’t been here since the year they opened. We get seated, asked if we’d like water. We say yes. Five minutes pass… still no water. We ask again. Fifteen minutes later, water finally arrives.
We place our dessert orders (nothing complicated) and also ask for coffee. I order a hot chocolate, my partner orders coffee. About 25 minutes later, desserts arrive. Fifteen minutes after that, my drink finally comes out but the waiter asks:
“Is this yours?” I respond, “Maybe… what is it?” He replies, “I’m not actually sure. They just handed it to me.”
Sir… if you don’t know, how am I supposed to?
He takes the drink back. Then the woman who took my order brings the same drink, says it’s mine… but still no coffee. Fast-forward another 15 minutes, we’ve finished eating, and the coffee still hasn’t shown up.
We go to pay. We’re told multiple times that “everyone’s new and learning,” which is fine, kudos to them for trying but why fill the store with trainees and only have one manager? Anyway, the bill won’t load. Turns out the coffee we never got was charged to another table. Weird, but okay. Hopefully they didn’t have to pay for it.
Then my hot chocolate, which I clearly had, was also apparently on someone else’s bill. The manager swoops in, misunderstandings happen, more bill shuffling, but finally she fixes it all. Shout-out to her for keeping calm in the chaos. She said “You paid for your food, don’t worry about the drinks we will figure it out, sorry about that” and sent us on our way.
All in all, the dessert was okay and the service was… memorable. Thanks for the...
