The WORST Walmart I've ever been to notably for its D-Grade POOR Customer Service. On one of my experiences, I had to return an item that was unopened but unfortunately, I lost my receipt. I paid by debit, showed them the transaction details from my bank hoping that would satisfy a return & instead, they told me they had to search their records in order to return it. Fine. They were to call me back to confirm which of course, they didn't & after a week, I reached out to them & of course they validated my return but failed to follow up. Classic HORRID Customer Service at this Walmart location. On my most recent visit on April 7th, 2021, I purchased a pack of Dove soap which was priced on their 'Rollback' display at $6.97. Upon having the item scanned, the price came at $8.97 which is 'typical' Walmart whereby items advertised scan usually for more. I advised an associate knowing full well that I was entitled to get the item free based on The Scanner Price Accuracy Code Policy. I even took a picture of the 'Rollback' sale to show. Instead of giving me the item for free based on the policy, the associate sold it for the 'Rollback' price. I didn't catch the error until after the fact so the very next day, on April 8, 2021, I went back to that very location to ask for the refund of the product based on the policy. I even showed the associate that same picture I showed the previous one of the proof of the error. She began to argue with me! Really?! She then went to the actual display to verify pricing & upon her return, instead of coming back to help, she began chit-chatting & laughing with 3-4 other colleagues while I waited! Are you kidding me?! Only one associate from the bunch had the smarts & common sense to see that I was waiting angrily & asked if I had been looked after. I pointed to the associate who was 'helping' me & she told her, "...Customers FIRST, how many times do I have to tell you?!" So at the very least, they have ONE decent employee working at that location. When that associate came back after her extensive pow-wow with her colleagues, she once again tried to refuse my refund. I immediately asked for a manager to which she naturally denied me claiming there wasn't one available. I demanded someone else of authority & approached that other associate who told her to basically do her job but she too didn't help & referred me back to her. She reluctantly FINALLY processed my refund, kept her mouth shut & didn't even have courtesy to apologize for her ignorant behaviour. These are the types of people Walmart finds to work for them & represent them?! DO BETTER Walmart! FIX YOUR TYPICAL PRICING ERRORS & HIRE BETTER PEOPLE! These incidents are a complete EMBARRASSMENT of your...
Read moreAbsolutely Disgusted with Walmart â Worst Experience Ever Location: Appleby Line & Dundas, Burlington Manager: Bushra
I am beyond disgusted with the way I was treated at this Walmart. I purchased a basinet through self-checkout â brand new, sealed, with a full receipt in hand. A few days later, when I tried to return it, the associates and the so-called âmanagerâ Bushra refused to process my return, claiming the barcode on the receipt didnât match the box or what was âin their system.â
I explained everything in clear detail: ⢠I self-checked out. ⢠I have the original receipt. ⢠The item is brand new, unopened, untouched. ⢠I bought only one basinet. ⢠I have the credit card transaction to prove the purchase. ⢠It was a rollback item for $59.97, there were a couple of boxes on the shelf.
Instead of listening or even trying to help, they kept repeating the same nonsense â that the item is âdifferentâ from the receipt, and that they âcanât take it back.â They even suggested that I somehow bought an already returned item â blaming me for their own inventory and system issues! How is that my fault? I grabbed a box from the aisle like any normal customer would. I donât work at Walmart â why should I be investigating your stock problems?
I told them very clearly: ⢠Check your IT systems. ⢠Check the database. ⢠Match the receipt details, barcode, purchase date/time, and the credit card last 4 digits. I gave them everything they needed to verify the purchase. But they made zero effort. No escalation, no investigation, just laziness and disrespect towards a paying customer.
Bushra, the manager, was extremely rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. She did not offer any real solution, showed no accountability, and clearly did not care one bit about customer service. Itâs absolutely shameful.
Walmart expects customers to trust them with their money, but when something goes wrong because of their own broken system, they throw the customer under the bus without even trying to fix it.
This is theft. This is negligence. This is customer abuse.
I will never shop at this Walmart again, and I will make sure everyone I know hears about how horribly I was treated. Walmart...
Read moreA down right horrible experience with the store on Appleby Line (store 3170). A first time for myself purchasing undergarments from Walmart and because they don't have fitting rooms available to try on items, I had to bring them home where I found them to not fit. Brought the items back to the store only to be told that they were final purchase items. When I was shopping there was not signage on the item advising final purchase and when I was checking out there was no mention of it being final purchase there either.
I was told when I brought the items back that I should read the back of my receipt where is light grey ink it directs me to the Walmart website. The supervisor Susan told me I would see undergarments are final sale if I visit the website.
I find it ludicrous that this company is telling its customer that the only way to know if something is final sale is to purchase the item to get the receipt which has the website link on there.
I was told this was rule for a long time however I have family members who have returned undergarments to this exact same store!
I find it disappointing and unacceptable that: A) a big box store is taking advantage of their customers by not being upfront when it comes to purchasing items. B) While I understand COVID has brought change, other stores have found an effective way to have fitting rooms made available. Why a big box store like Walmart is unable to come up with something is absurd. It forces the customer to take the item home to try on and in this case be stuck with items that are not needed.
Their slogan of Save Money and Live Better seems hypocritical when you are stuck with an item you have no use for and have no way to return it.
Side Note Buyer Beware: This store has items that with shelves stickers that are lower but when scanned are...
