Attending a class at Vancouver Hub is quite the experience. Nathan (the owner and teacher) is enthusiastic and knowledgable. He tries to foster this same sense of enthusiasm in his students, which makes for a fun time no matter what. However, the glass blowing experience I received was not quite what I bargained for. Vancouver Hub has no layout or breakdown of the class structure or what it goes over on it's website. For those going in thinking they will be blowing glass (like me), they are wrong. It is a small portion of glass basics, using propane torches to make a few small projects. I was super disappointed. He gives you all the necessary information and lets you explore, and is always ready to give you a hand if needed. I took the beginner class from him and enjoyed his class a lot (small class size, good selection of equipment). Will definitely come back to learn and make more glassware!
