The customer service was super friendly and attentive when I was in-store, but my experience was unfortunately still a very negative one. I tried to send a package abroad. The ups store clerk helped me fill out my information and orient the items in the box to fit, etc. Really nice guy, and easy but expensive process. I'm pretty sure I was told July 26th for an arrival date initially, but then it said 29th...? Anyways... I checked the tracking on the package a few days later, it said "returned to shipper". I was the shipper... I called UPS on July 26th and he said he was inquiring with DHL since he didn't know why it was sent back, and if they couldn't send it I would get a refund. He said DHL would attempt delivery (to return it to me) and if no one was home, they would leave a slip to pick up the package. He said they would contact me when they have more info about a refund or trying to reship. But they never called me back. :( I contacted DHL 3 times on July 26th, 27th, 29th requesting information about the location of my package and received 3 different generic answers, since the tracking number only said "returned to shipper" for days when I hadn't received it back. I was told after all these requests that it would be returned on the 30th. On the 30th the package was left on my doorstep. It NEVER should have been left, there were valuables inside that required a signature from the recipient. They should have left a slip instead for pickup. I later learned from my neighbor that they actually dropped the box off at her door, THE WRONG RESIDENCE, and SHE brought it over to mine. I know UPS isnt responsible for DHL, but this is the ridiculously unreliable service you should expect from the courier UPS chooses to use. They also completely taped over the whole box with weird marked tape, essentially making the box I bought impossible for me to reuse for shipments. I waited to hear back from UPS about reshipping the item, or about a refund. Nothing. Eventually I called them on August 7th, and was told I would be getting a refund, but I would have to wait to find out if I needed to go in to the store for the refund, or if it could be done without me present. I called again on the 9th and was told they were giving me a refund and I wouldnt need to come in. And finally Aug 20th I received the refund, but they kept 20% and only refunded me 80%. Okay, so... I was never contacted to say my package was being held, never contacted about my package being returned, never contacted to say they were inquiring with DHL, never contacted to say I wouldn't need to go in for the refund. If I didn't actively chase them up every few days, I would have had no information. And then when they did contact me, it was to say they were keeping 20% and only refunding me 80%. Which is confusing because if they had told me my items would not ship with their courier, I never would have sent anything/spent ANY money. So penalizing me 20% for them withholding information from me seems really unfair. They should have told me from the start that the items would be returned. Read moreWe did not get great service from UPS. My friend was expecting the package from her office and that was very urgent because it was work laptop, and she needed it on urgent basis. First thing is whenever UPS is delivering the package they don’t knock the door or call. They just paste a sticker on the door and take the package back. Secondly when we got to know that they took the package back. We called UPS customer service. The first point of contact was not very helpful, I know that happened sometimes because things are not in their hands. Then I asked him to transfer it to the supervisor. I appreciate the supervisor’s help she ensured me that she will help me with my problem and she did her job very well. When I got the response from customer service then I called on this UPS Store (Access Point) to verify whether they received the package or no. Then again the supervisor called me and said you can check with the store if they received. Then I called second time to confirm about the package so that I will only go there if they have the package which is the correct way I believe.
When we went to store, there were 2 employees and one of them, she did not behave good with us. While giving us our package she was like “Why you guys were calling again and again, we were very busy”. I was very shocked to listen this kind of customer service, and explained to her that it was urgent that's why I called to ensure that the package is there. I said sorry for calling 2 times and Thank you for the package. But I still don't know what was the reason of being rude. Read moreWorst company I have ever had to deal with. On top of delivering my package shattered and broken and the employee delivering it didn't take my signature. When I came to do send my package back the woman at the counter treated me with disrespect. She was snarky and treated me had racist undertones. She didn't have issues with the people before us, but once I came in with my package. She's treating me with such rudeness. Driving to hespeler, they ended up explaining the situation better and with kindness with the professionalism I expect from such a large company. But this woman was disgusting. If you can't handle customer service don't work here! I didn't deserve being humiliated for asking questions.
