Lazeez Shawarma (Phone now Available) — Restaurant in Cambridge

Used to be great when they opened. Now it seems staff is not trained to make the dishes properly. Had a complaint with last order. I got beef platter which came with absolutely NO SAUCE. Ordered via skip the dish but their customer service was down so I called the restaurant directly. Manager told me I can be reimbursed for same item when I come in. She said she has recorded my info and I can come in whenever even if she’s not around. So I called in today to claim my platter, the manager tells me she can’t as I have already claimed refund from skip. I told her that’s NOT TRUE and I never got any refund. She repeated same thing again and told me talk to the owner. Called the owner, who told me since I ordered via skip they can’t do anything. I said , but your manager told me otherwise, you cannot honour your own managers words? Told me “no” and that he has no record of my complaint, etc. Offered me a “shawarma wrap” as a courtesy for being such a loyal customer. I said no thanks! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. I placed an order through DoorDash and while making my selections, it asked me if I wanted EXTRA tahini and would CHARGE $0.50. I didnt want extra and there was no option for regular. So i assumed the recipe comes with it by default. First the restaurant took FOREVER to make it and then when i got it, it was DRY. I called them to make the situation right and they kept saying there is another option for regular which there isn't. Then they said that i should have put it in the instructions, but why would i do that when the checkboxes asked for extra. I dont think it was wrong of me to assume that they would put the regular amount of sauce when they were prompting me to pay for extra. I straight up told the guy on the phone that i am displeased and asked what he could do to make it right. He said nothing. I asked if there is any chance he could make it again for me, he said NO. Customer service/satisfaction at its finest folks. Never going to this location again, the one on Highland Rd in Kitchener is 1000 times...

Having been to this restaurant since before covid, I found it shocking that the employee taking my regular order basically called me a liar. He said the dish requested has not been made at this restaurant in a minimum of 4 yrs(philly cheese steak on lentil rice with humus and tahini and no garlic sauce,no hot sauce- around $20 tax in). I ended ended up making a close dish by using the topping menu on top of a large beef on the rocks-$26 tax in.
