Empire Theatre — Local services in Cochrane

Sad to say i live across the street from this establishment. Once a great cornerstone of our community, this fall from grace has been riddled with racism unlawful expulsion of customers and by any means neglect for the self respect a theater should command in not only decor but service and quality. With missing seats and near frozen temperatures in winter leaks and many other problems including washroom cleanliness and kitchen conditions it seems to me to be nothing but a hazard to your family's health and safety and is clearly a waste of money and time in my opinion. Unless your on a budget i would chance the traffic to Timmins for their cinema 6 instead on any day...

Empire does a great job of getting in a wide variety of movies. Yes, there’s only one screen, but we’re lucky to have a theatre in such a small town. I love the character - from the cow decor to the friendly staff - and the food is great. I’m not sure if there’s a bathroom accessible on the main floor as the public ones are upstairs, so be aware of that if disabled. We’ve also hosted a birthday here and it was a blast. Owner is enthusiastic and nice. Overall it’s a lot cheaper than most theatres and I like supporting...
