The food was terrible. We ordered nachos, mozzarella sticks, deep fried pickles and a poutine.
I had one bite of the nachos and never touched it again my friend couldn’t finish it. The beef on it was absolutely way overcooked and dry. He took the remaining back to the hotel and was never touched again.
The mozzarella sticks and deep fried pickles were frozen food. Nothing special, wasn’t amazing either. Both had leftovers and also never touched after.
The poutine was not very good despite it having cheese curds. I asked for it to have cheese curds and they informed me that it was going to be shredded cheese. They did accommodate the cheese curds. The shrimps in the poutine were definitely frozen breaded shrimps and didn’t taste good at all and also didn’t go with the poutine. There was ranch sauce in it and really just didn’t go together.
The service was decent, they kept refilling my hot water which I asked for. They also checked up on us once in a while. The one star is for the service.
I don’t recommend...
Read moreOrdered the signature burger which is basically a burger made with 2 grilled cheeses instead of buns. Was upset to find the burger patty tasted like unseasoned ground beef and didnt seem to have any spices. Shouldnt the signature burger of a restaurant be showcasing the kitchens pride and "best work"? I was slightly off-put by this and didnt really get to enjoy anything but the jalapeño poppers which were just the plain style frozen variety stuffed with only cream cheese. The waitress stated "sorry, our kitchen isnt doing well tonight".
They have an interesting spicy food challange leaderboard written on the chalkboard wall. I was disappointed to hear that its not something they actually offer anymore.
Felt like it took forever to get the food and in the end we got take out containers and our dogs ate most of the meal.
Appears to be a classy restaurant on the outside but sadly only serves pub food and have a strange and noisy...
Read moreIt's a great shame that our experience this year was so bad, after 3 years of returning to the same venue for meals, the service has become nothing short of woesome, the previous years were actually quite pleasant and food always good. Part of being a server means providing service, to expect your customers to come chase you down in order to be served is ridiculous and really speaks to your lack of pride and professionalism. IF your stance is that upon closing the kitchen that customers that were there for meals and ordered at their tables are expected to then attend the bar for continued service, then YOU should make that know. Here's a pro tip, instead of sitting at the end of the bar, stuffing your faces with food, perhaps get up and pay closer attention to the few paying customers you have. The fact that the place is for sale does not come...
