Not impressed and not worth the hype. Have tried to sell name brand items and they just have “ too much in stock” but there is garbage on the racks. Turning down Lululemon, Aritzia and Hollister. Went in today with 5 perfect winter jackets, we’re entering that season. Tried 4 times now. Went yesterday to sell items and beware of the “new policy”. Wait around for hours for the $2 bucks you’re getting or it will be donated but they will give you a store credit over it. Yeah right. Anything good is taken by employees. My aritzia sweaters had a little bit of piling. I’m not exaggerating and told to come back again and turned away. Meanwhile on the clothing on the racks there are sweat stained clothes with deodorant marks. Piling like ridiculous and rips in the clothing are acceptable. I guess it depends on the day and who is working. I don’t need to waste 3 hrs for 10 bucks and will just donate clothing going forward. If I’m in the area with my kids and they want to go cool but I’m no longer making a trip or revolving my morning around this garbage. A $13 candle from bath and body works. For $0.95 more I can grab it from the actual store on sale. There is zero incredible about this place,...
Read moreI was so excited to hear this fabulous franchise was here in Nova Scotia. I just visited two in Toronto and one in Edmonton and the brands and prices were fabulous. Zara. Aritzia. Lululemon. And rarely anything above $40. But I’ve been to this shop twice and have been shocked to see handbags for $180, coats for $160, brands like SHEIN and Forever 21. And the music is extremely loud … I know this is targeted to teens (what teens can afford these prices?) but at the other shops I’ve been to the music was in the background and people of every age were shopping for finds. I got a Lululemon scuba sweater for $40 among other things for less. I hope things change here and they figure things out. It’s a great franchise and concept! I left Plato’s the other day and went to Threadz in Dartmouth and got a Zara teddy bear...
Read moreUnfriendly staff, don’t greet you, make you feel like you’re being an inconvenience when their job is literally customer service. I’ve worked numerous retail/customer service jobs and I would never treat my customers the way I was treated at this store. Wouldn’t take my mint condition brand name items because of “staining” when there was no stains of any of my clothing otherwise I wouldn’t have brought them in, it’s not my first time visiting a Plato’s closet but this location really needs work. I don’t understand out of all the things I brought in, why they took worn cheaper clothing. I get they aren’t taking summer stock but a lot of my mint condition brand names were pants… you can wear those all year round. Really disappointed in this location, hopefully they improve or we get another...
