Great atmosphere and tons of options. Just two things kept me from giving it a 5. I was really hoping for more options on the locally made treats as most items were commercial candies and the ice cream didn't seem locally made in house. The other thing was that the server never guessed we were new to the store even though we asked questions about items that were apparently understood by locals. It would have been nice to get a run down on any other things we might not have understood or, at least a more thorough explanation rather than the same words that were given to a local customer in answer to "is that a cookie?" (The answer to that question is apparently no more nor less than- "it's chocolate on the bottom, just like the small ones, but bigger". See, now we're still confused but together!)
Sea salt and caramel ice cream is really good but it's possible someone forgot the sea salt. Candy selection is large and I was genuinely stoked to find a kinder egg with the toy inside. Read a lot about them, had never seen one in person.
If you're in town, stop in on a hot day for a slushie or ice cream. Two bucks Canadian for a kiddie cone was just the right size and price while traveling...
Read moreThe arcade is amazing and enjoyable for both kids and adults (its fun with a cool retro feel) the outdoor playground is ideal for parents to sit back and enjoy their treats while their kids let.off some steam. The ice cream bar has a great variety at reasonable prices. There is candy galore and there are movie/snack kits which is a great idea that would make for an awesome Friday night treat. I can't wait to come back to GFW to visit and enjoy Papa's...
Read moreCute store. Lots of candies and sweets, as well as ice cream. There is a playground that is only open seasonally, as well as an arcade with lots of classic games like Pacman, Mario, etc. There was no music on in the arcade, so that was kinda weird, but the decor is awesome - evoking a fun 80s feel.
Don't get the Water bridge fudge... It's gross haha. I only bought the cookies and cream bag and a couple Cow Tales, so like plenty else to...
