On Saturday October 8th, 2022 myself and some friends visited the Salvador's (Sackville location) we had been hearing such good things about this new place so we decided to check it out. It was our first visit and it's going to be our last visit. We were greeted at the front counter extremely well be the staff working. Very friendly, our service was very prompt, food was hot and fresh when we received our order. But as we sat in the dine in area, we could hear alot of yelling and as we looked to see where it was coming from, we observed the manager Greg, yelling at the staff, and he was not stopping. I am in the food industry myself and I am a manager of my business Starbucks. I have over 20 years experience in this industry food/customer service, I have never been apart of such behavior from a management perspective or from a crew perspective. This behavior is unacceptable in every way! When we decided to then take our food to go, which I might mentioned at this point was a large order around $50.00. As I approached the front counter to ask for containers so we could pack up our order to go, because we were NOT going to stay and be subjected to the yelling and degrading that this manager Greg was doing to this amazing staff. As I approached the front counter he came over, I could see and smell that he was very much intoxicated. He was very quick with me, there was NO "hello can I help you" No greeting at all! I told him what I wanted was take out containers. I proceeded to tell him why I was in need of the take out containers, he never once apologized or did anything to fix my complaint. It was only then that I was able to look at his name tag and see that his name is Greg. I have ALOT of friends and family whom I have since told our experience to and people I am connected to through ALL of my years experience in the food industry. This could have been ALOT of business for Salvador (Sackville location) but it most certainly won't be now! I along with my friends that were there with me, have NEVER been a witness to such disgusting behavior. For a new business and a new location to be successful, disgusting behaviors from ANYONE is unacceptable and unnecessary. My recommendation to the owners of Salvador's (Sackville location) is to immediately terminate this manager Greg, intoxication on the job IS and SHOULD ALWAYS BE AN AUTOMATIC TERMINATION!!!! The staff that were there that night were amazing, and NO ONE deserves that kind of treatment! I have given my rating only 2 stars NOT because of the service from the crew staff THEY WERE AMAZING! My 2 star rating is for the unjust and disgusting behavior from the...
Read moreI ordered from this place and my order was a mess. It was a cheap mess (with the deals on the website). The pizza was almost all crust...I mean over half the pizza was a crust. So I gave a bad review. Someone contacted me and offered me 50% of my next order. Order came and the crust was acceptable. The pizza was mediocre at best, but I mean cheap pizza has its place. if you can feed 4 adults for under 30 bucks, depending on where you are in life, that's a win no matter the quality. But then I ordered a third time (since they "made up for it"). Well third time was just like the first...how is it possible to have a 4 inch crust (not deep i mean wide)? How do you put that in the oven and think "that'll do"? Anyway so I made another comment on the fb post. Someone contacts me again...Almost word for word the exact post. I hop on here to do a review and I see almost every single review someone from Salavtore sent the same prefab "we're sorry you had a bad experice" reply. But yet it's shows almost 5 stars on the home page? Read the reviews yourself. If they have to have a copy and paste apology they send out to almost every customer that should tell you all you need to know. They claim to be some family owned local up and comers.. but I'm almost positive this is some corporate owned tactic and they're just pumping out "cheaper than little Ceasars" garbage...but at least little Ceasars has that crazy bread. Listen pizza is expensive these days...you need to eat cheap you could maybe find a deal here...but that's the only people who like this place. ...
Read moreWe decided to try Salvatore Pizza on a friends recommendation but we were quite disappointed with the experience that we had.
I ordered an extra large cheesy bread and medium meat livers pizza. When they were ready I was surprised at the size of the boxes so I asked if the cheesy bread was an extra large and was told that they only come in one size. I had ordered this with intention to share it with my daughter but I could have eaten it myself. If I would have known it was so small I would have ordered differently.
Regarding the quality, it was quite disappointing compared to other shops I frequent. The crust was thick and doughy inside. The cheese on the cheesy bread only covered 2/3 of the bread. The ground beef on the meat lovers pizza was piled in a mound in the center instead of spread across the dough.
At the restaurant, I did not notice a public washroom and there was no chairs to eat in even if you wanted to. There was a counter that you could stand up and eat at but no table or chairs other than a bench which reminded me of how restaurants were during COVID lockdown except the majority have returned to normal seating.
I actually had high hopes for this place but after seeing the quality and value you get, this is not a place that I will return to. Just as an example I have smaller hands for an adult male but if I could almost span the diameter of a medium with one hand. Price wise this was one of the more expensive pizzas that I have tried to date.
This is my...
