Both my wife and I have been seeing Dr. Raveendran for more than 7-8 years, I don't normally write reviews but after reading so many bad reviews on Google, I have to say something. The fact is, Dr. Raveendran is an extremely nice and caring person, precise diagnosis and don't waste your time. I don't understand why people said he doesn't listen, maybe some patients just talk too much. Before the pandemic, walk-in wait time was totally reasonable, compare to other many family doctors we had before we had to wait 1+ hours even with an appointment. Manhattan medical center is first come first serve basic, so it's fair to every patients, love it. Most importantly Dr. Raveendran prescribed the right drugs that cured every single sickness my wife and I had. Dr. Raveendran is so hard working, he even speaks Mandarin because of the demographic, total respect. The best of the...
Read moreThis place becomes more and more unprofessional. They used to open almost everyday. When I called last week, the voice message said they will open next Thursday and when I call in on Thursday, the message was changed to "we open from Monday to Wednesday..."! I called to make an appointment to get a referrer to gynecologist but the family Dr. wouldn't refer for me. Then I had to visit a walkin clinic to get a referrer which is not their job. A week later, a gynecologist called me for an appointment. I thought it was referrer made by the walkin clinic. Acturally, the family Dr. did referred later but he didn't even bother to notify me, which caused a lot of confusion. I am so disappointed with their service! Please try somewhere else, althought this country's family doctors suck in...
Read moreMy experience with Dr. Raveendran over the years has been as polarized as the reviews here.
He became my family doctor shortly after he opened his practice. For a while, he was kind, attentive, and caring. However, that changed after he started to squeeze in as many patients as possible, leading to overbooking and unfulfilled appointments (e.g., empty promises of “the doctor will call you”).
Nowadays, more often than not, Dr. Raveendran is interruptive, impatient, and otherwise disrespectful. He also gets very defensive very fast, especially when you mention that other clinics have been able to do things that he says are not doable (such as referrals).
In short: go elsewhere. I’m genuinely disappointed that my family doctor of many years is now just a shadow of who...
