Cineplex Cinemas Truro — Local services in Millbrook 27

Absolute joke of a cineplex and thats pretty hard to accomplish. I have had the worst viewings and customer service in this cineplex. It is unclean, equipment has malfunctioned during various movies that I have been in and most of the staff are rude or have no idea what they are doing. I dont usually write reviews, but after tonights waste of my time, it was the last straw to tip me over the edge enough to write this. I got there 10 minutes late for the 9:40 showing of Thor:Ragnarok, my friends were allready inside holding my seat. I walk up to the doors and they are locked. I stand outside waving and knocking at employees and all they did was look at me and go back to what they are doing. Which brings me to when I guess my knocking finally annoyed someone working enough to come open the door just enough to tell me that its too late and they have everything shut down, that was at 10:10, I stood out there doing that for 20 minutes. How in the world does that work when you have a 9:40 showing, no way to run the business I could not...

Man am i disappointed i love going to the movies. Iv been there 100's of times and normally im late hah 1-2 min kinda late though. And i cant recall a time i havnt gotten in.

Tonight Feb 16/18 I made it to the cinema at 9:55pm for black panther, it might have been 9:56 when i hit the doors but they where locked and i couldn't get anyones attention!!!! Idk if this is some new system or if they where sold out but i found that very unprofessional maybe i would have bought some popcorn, and someone could have let me know that they cant let me in the movie. Just super upsetting for an advit movie enthusiast. To be 1 min late for 10 min previews. I understand if they've changed the rules but you cant seem to find much for information on it so hopefully a 2 star review will help with that.

In the last 2 months, me and my spouse have visited the theatre 3 times. The constant was a quick access to the ticket counter, ease of entry and plenty of seating options as even up to the start of the movie the theatres never all that busy. Food is Cineplex standard at quite overpriced but that is every one in the franchise. As well manager was very great about the following. The arcade token machine ate a $5 bill and didn't dispense. When brought to their attention he opened it up and gave us at minimum $20 worth of tokens for the inconvenience. Solely a 4 star as Cineplex has a bit of a Monopoly on the movie experience and for that reason needs to figure out a way not to charge a full grocery bill for popcorn...
