Kal Tire — Local services in Mississauga

I dropped by the new Kal Tire location in Heartland to fix a flat on my Corolla. I’ve been to their Stanfield store quite a few times before with my Accord, but this new one being open on Sundays is super convenient.

JP picked up when I called in and let me know I could just walk in to get it looked at. While I was waiting, he took the time to talk with me and compare different tire options, had some great banter about cars, and he also clearly knew the inventory inside out. You can tell he knows his stuff and enjoys his work.

In the past at the Stanfield location, JP also helped me out with ordering and installing CrossClimate2s for my Accord, and he was always friendly and professional every time I came in for rotations or to check out a flat. It was great running into him again at this new location. Same great service, just in a more convenient spot and hours.

Once my warranty ended with "Superfan's" Hyundai, I started doing my oil changes at Kal Tire on Mississauga Rd. They were great! Even bought my tires from them. And I was happy when the Heartland location opened up as it's much closer to home.

Showed up to my oil change appointment and told them there's a loud squealing sound every time I turn on the heat, a/c, or defrost. They asked me some simple, pointed questions (as any professional mechanic and technician should) and looked into it. Long story short, it had something to do with one of the belts and it was an easy fix. I paid less for my oil change and issue repair than what the dealership wanted to charge me just to do a diagnostic on this same issue.

I trust Kal Tire and will continue to trust them with my vehicle's maintenance. They listened to my concerns, investigated, found the issue, and resolved it. All without adding unnecessary costs. This is how you build customer...

Very disappointing experience at Kal Tire. I had an appointment booked for Sunday at 11 AM for a wheel alignment. I drove 40 minutes to get there, only to be told that they don’t even do alignments on Sundays, and that the person who handles alignments wasn’t there.

The staff member, JP, was not helpful at all — he didn’t try to offer any proper solution or even apologize. All he said was that the only thing he can do is rebook the appointment. When I asked him why no one informed me earlier that the alignment technician wasn’t available, he said he hadn’t even looked at my appointment.

After driving that far and wasting my time and gas, I expected at least some professionalism or effort to make things right. If Kal Tire can’t provide a service at a certain time, they shouldn’t take bookings for it. Really disappointed with the lack of communication and...
