Mercato Fresh — Local services in Ontario

I have shopped this store since it opened. It is a good convenient store to shop. Until 2 weeks ago I had never purchased the ground beef. The package was labeled "LEAN". I beg to differ and honetly suggest DO NOT BUY!! I am very health conscious and only buy "lean" ground beef, so I know how it cooks with very little grease in the pan. When I cooked Mercato's "LEAN" ground beef my pan was so full of grease to the point that I looked in the garbage on the packaging thinking maybe I had purchased "regular" by mistake. NOT! I emailed the store the day I purchased with my concerns? 2 weeks in and I'm still waiting for a response! I give my one star rating based on the lack of "customer service" and the unacceptable amount of fat in their "LEAN" ground beef!!!

1 week has passed since I posted this review..Was just looking through bad reviews and notice management only responded to a few of these reviews...why is that????? I would have liked a response to mine!! Ergo my 1 star for customer service stands also is your fat to "lean" ground beef ratio...

I really love this store. It's a perfect size! I was there twice today because the hot food wasn't ready yet since I was there early. Employees - friendly and most helpful! (The reason why I returned.) Everything is displayed very nicely. Clean and bright. Love the signage so you know exactly where to go. I bought what was mostly on special and very happy with everything. The prices for meat and poultry - I don't have to take out a loan for (like another place I frequent but certainly not for meat!) If others think that there is better produce elsewhere, then go, no problem. But don't give the place a negative review because you like the place you go to more than this one. I check things out for myself and I will decide for myself where I will shop. Even though I don't live in the area, I am more than happy to shop here if it means that quality meets my budget. Sorry, but this place is just perfect for me - AND more than a dozen others I know who have already been here have said the same thing. Thank...

I was actually blown away by Mercato. It feels like a market but is also providing the main, staple foods. Mercato has meal preps, coffees, sushi/bowls and soup ready to go, as well as a full bakery, and butcher. The meat selection was great with lots of “pop in the oven” options. They’ve got meal prepped containers much like Macro Foods - similar flavours and all! I am honestly most impressed with their tuna poke bowl. I so badly want to make my own at home but feel a bit nervous finding sushi grade fish to prep with. They have a very generous tuna bowl for under $14! And it is LOVELY! I think I’ve found my new lunch spot. The store is spacious and clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I’m actually a bit upset I haven’t found this place sooner! Be sure to stop by Mercato - might be cheeky and buy myself a delayed Tiramisu birthday cake next time there! Going to be my new go to when I want a quick go to meal or a nice dinner!...
