My husband and I both ordered Fifi Chicken which according to the menu comes with a blush sauce and either penne or fettuccine. For an additional $3 you can upgraded from a house salad to a Greek salad, which I did. I also asked what sauce came on the fettuccine and was told it is the same blush sauce that's served on the chicken.
Our waitress brought the wrong salad but rather that bring the correct one she took the one she had just served me, brought it to the kitchen window and said, within earshot of us, Can you make this into a Greek? My salad was then reserved to me with the original ingredients including balsamic dressing. All they did was throw some feta, a few olives and a few beet slices on top. The fettuccine was over cooked and mushy, the chicken was dry and stringy and the blush sauce tasted like it came out of a jar.
When the bill arrived our waitress pointed out that she had removed the $3 charge for my salad, which was very gracious of her, though I would have preferred the salad that I had ordered. Added to our bill was a $1 charge per meal for the fettuccine. When we pointed out to our waitress that fettuccine was listed on the menu as one of the pasta options that come with the chicken she informed us that the $1 charge was not actually for the fettuccine but for the blush sauce that came on the fettuccine. When we questioned her about what sauce alternatives there were she said there is no alternative, blush sauce is what you get. I pointed out her that there was no where on the menu that mentions an additional charge for either fettuccine or blush sauce she agreed with me and said Yes, a lot of people complain about it but there's nothing I can do because it's just how my till rings it up. Then she kept saying, it's just a dollar...
I said, well yes, there is something you can do, charge us the appropriate amount based on what you list in your menu. Sure enough she was somehow able to get her till to ring it up for the appropriate price.
Because it's just a dollar but it's also...
Read moreFirst time trying this restaurant as I have seen people post food pictures so I wanted to try this place. My son was taking me out for lunch and told me it was my choice. Not a very good choice I made. I just spoke with the owner to let him know my experience and he said "really it's not a big deal". Well maybe not to him but when you pay 41.00 for 2 sandwiches and no drinks and you get crappy food and bad customer service it is a big deal. Our waitress brought us water and our food shortly after. My sons Montreal smoked meat sandwich was so soggy from the sauerkraut on it. I had the club sandwich and the bread was so small that everytime you took a bite it fell apart. The waitress NEVER came to see if we needed more water or if everything was okay as she spent 15 minutes talking to 2 guys about doing work at her house. I had to go to the counter to ask for a take out box and our bill. There was only one other table with 2 people at it so it was not busy. We got there shortly after 12 as that is when they open. She put the amount in the debit machine and turned away from the bar area. The machine malfunctioned so I had to enter the amount and take my receipt. Not a thank you or even have a nice day. I called and spoke to the owner who did not seem to care I just wanted to let him know about my experience and post a review and he could not care less. Like he said why would you want to hurt my business and "why are you calling it's not...
Read moreI actually came across this restaurant because of a wrong turn. I was looking to pick up dinner for myself and my mother and her friend. I must say that it was the best mistake I could've made. After looking over the menu and not knowing what to expect, especially when it's for take out that would not be eaten for a few more hours we weren't sure what to expect. A full rack of ribs for $20 I swear could feed at least two easily and chicken parmesan was also huge. The soup was wonderful and every reheated perfectly and stayed juicy and tender. My only comment (and that's just a personal preference) is I prefer the bbq sauce on my ribs to be be basted on the grill so it bakes/caramelized and they do it the wet way. Since it was takeout it was perfect, and they were so nice that I'm sure they would have thrown it on the grill if I asked. Not only was the food great the portions were huge. You definitely get your money's worth. Also the staff were very friendly. While waiting for my order, I saw how kind the waitress was to an older couple and even held the door open for them. It's definitely...
