Bought lean beef cubes here on Saturday. Asked how fresh the meat is. Butcher stated it was delivered that same day. As you can see from the pics, beef is discoloured. Definitely not fresh or number of other reasons why this happened: Oxidation,When beef is exposed to air, the iron in the muscle tissue reacts with oxygen and causes discoloration. Age, Fresh beef should be a bright red color. If it's been sitting in the refrigerator for a few days, it can start to turn brown. Poor storage,Incorrect temperature or improper packaging can cause beef to discolor. Decaying meat,If the meat has started to decay, it will also turn brown. I am a regular customer of this shop, since the last ten years at least. I find the owners quite friendly. Their lamb, goat , and chicken meat is good quality and very reasonable priced. And the meat counter and the shop is very clean. They stock a variety of ethnic ( Indian & Pakistani, Afghani & Irani, and Middle Eastern food and drink items ) food . They are conveniently located - and are open 7 days a week . I would recommend their shop to all customers...

Very good place for afghani nan,rice,tea, and all other stuff. The dry fruits are always fresh as they store them in a cold 🥶 place. The halal meat section is awesome 👌 very neat and clean. They also have good quality afghani rice, and they have varieties on. The prices are a bit higher than the other places but there are some good things that you can not find them...
