I have visited this restaurant MANY times since I moved to the area, and it has never let me down. First, the location is great. It's right next door to many apartment/condo buildings, and not too far from Carleton University. The entrance is easy to reach, and once inside, you're seated very quickly. I've never had to wait more than 10-20 minutes for my food. For the meals themselves, they are DELICIOUS. I always get the Tom Kha Gai, and I highly recommend it if you like lightly spicy + creamy soups. For the main course, I tend to get the curries. I can speak personally with the red curry in that it is amazing! It's spicy, with a delightful variety of vegetables. I also highly recommend the fish cakes (Tood Mun Pla) as an appetizer. They're another staple whenever I go, and they're great if you like fish and light spice. Price-wise, I would say it leans towards the more expensive side. Entrees are about ~$16-19. However, there are lunch-specific combos which are pretty affordable. The serving sizes are also pretty large, so in my opinion, it's worth the money for the amount & delicious taste. Lastly, I want to say that what truly keeps me coming back are the staff. They are so sweet! I only had good things to say about them. They're extremely respectful, kind, and diligent. They truly make the atmosphere comfortable. Essentially, visit Thai Coconut if you want to have a calming night (or day!) out, with creamy foods and a pleasant atmosphere. It's worth your time.

What a lovely spot for lunch, despite the hassle trying to find it due to construction closing the road our GPS wanted us to go 🤪 And the parking lot!! That was a bit of a nightmare -- word of caution: leave your pick-up at home & take the car! Main server (owner?) was really encouraging us to have the AYCE lunch buffet (and it looked delicious!) however several dishes had onions, and since I have a pretty severe intolerance to onion anything, I needed to order off the menu. Hubby had the buffet & said all his choices were very fresh-looking & tasty. I ordered the Crispy chicken in red curry with a side of jasmine rice... I would order that again in a heartbeat! There was definitely enough for 2 people to share, or to take some home for another meal. The washroom was clean (watch your step!), and hubby & I both noticed how clean the dining room seemed to be.

I went there with my husband last night, who is very picky with Thai food since he travelled to Thailand a few times and stayed with his local Thai friends for minimum of 2 months. We decided to dine there because the restaurants can provide his 3 favourite Thai food. He ordered Namtok and he was amazed at the quality and the taste of food. The portion was generous. I ordered Gaeng Keow Warm. I can't take very spicy food and the chef modified the spice level for me. We can tell they put extra herbs in the green curry just as the way Thai people would do. It was wonderfully delicious. Really unpretentious and with quality and authentic food. We definitely will recommend it to our friends and would love to try their lunch buffet next time :)

The food is nothing special but decent, the customer service on the other hand is HORRIBLE! especially for delivery. We have been consistent customers for over 2 years and while the delivery has always been a bit slow we always ordered taking that into account, and it worked fairy well. However after our experience this evening we will never return. We ordered and they told us it would be 40 minutes because they were busy, after an hour of waiting we called to follow up and they said that the order had gone out and that it should be there any minute. After two hours of waiting we called again and they said that they had forgotten the order!!! WHAT!? First, it's left and it will be there soon and then it's been forgotten??? When my husband asked for a discount because of the mix up they said all they could offer was $6 off our next order, $6 dollars!!!!! We always spend at least $40 dollars there, they mess up royally and the best they can do is $6 off our next order!!!? They said they could make up a fresh order and deliver it to us but it would take another 40 minutes and we would still have to pay for the order. We honestly would have forgiven the whole thing if they had just compensated us for THEIR mistake, very very poor...

Simply amazing!! 5 stars just isn't enough to capture this experience. Delectable Thai cuisine, family-owned & operated, impeccable service and a lovely spot to come for a family dinner, date or just a meal with friends. We had the crispy chicken in red curry, the chicken green curry, BBQ beef with spicy sauce and some sticky rice. The Thai curries were genuinely some of the best I've ever had, and I don't give such praise lightly. I've eaten my way around Ottawa a lot, & am particularly inclined towards discovering new ethnic eateries. This has to be one of my favourite restaurants in the city. The owner, who served as our waitress, was incredibly attentive; constantly checking in to see how everything was going. She was kind, courteous and an absolute pleasure to be in the company of. As we were heading out, she even had her fish do some tricks for us - how cool! An unrivaled...
