Diamond night club — Restaurant in Portage la Prairie

New managment is horrible first of all. Not all of the staff is bad but the people who took over are awful. I just had an experience that shook me to the core. So I decided to go into the bar as usual some days to try a 10$-20$. I put the bill in, however, next thing I know the machine is saying illegal activity detected. And to my knowledge I did not know it was fake and if it was, those weren't my intentions. But right off the bat the manager(who did not tell me he was the manager at first) called me a liar. I immediately let him know that it's very unprofessional to imply I'm lying right off the hop, especially to paying customers. Coming from a gaming background and having my gaming license myself for over 5 years working in casinos and dealing table games, black jack, roulette, Texas holdem, and double deck, all over Manitoba and and one casino in Edmonton. So it's safe to say I have experience in the business. After about of 20 minutes of him reviewing the camera footage and me being tired of waiting I approached the middle aged east Indian man. Don't anyone dare make this a race thing because I respect their culture enough to learn phrases and quite a few words myself. So after all said and done he tried to tell me to come back tomorrow to deal with it, and I was not having it, I wanted my money back. He then goes off on me about me touching the machines, and if you're an avid slot player you know the game, "BIG city 5's" and how the prize amounts all differ from each machine. So it pretty much dictates which one anyone wants to play, right ? So my apologies for touching the machines but given how much I put into them I wouldn't mind being able to give myself an edge of some sort. Terrible, terrible, terrible, I cannot stop feeling hurt and attacked, it usually takes a lot for me to feel this way. Then I tell the guy, who at the beginning said he wasnt the manager, that he is in fact the manager, that the management is the worst I've seen in Manitoba. I will not be going back to this bar ever again, and im horrified about the experience. Thank you...

I've had the pleasure of DJ'ing here a number of times throughout the past few years. It tends to always be a good crowd, and both staff and security are friendly enough...
