Revelstoke Golf Club — Local services in Revelstoke

As BC residents and frequent visitors to the area, we have been golfing at this golf course for over 8 years. In 2024 we had a very sad experience. The staff were unfriendly and came across as quite snobby.

Nine holes of golf walking cost us $66 each which is incredibly high from previous years. The response we got from staff as well if you find it too high of a cost and don't play which I found was incredibly rude. Then they proceeded to tell us we could play 18 holes with a cart for $109. We didn't want to play 18 holes.

We golfed on a Friday and fortunately had made reservations well in advance. We had the opportunity to golf with two club members and they even admitted that trying to get a golf tee time for themselves at their own course was becoming quite problematic. They commented that their member fees were incredibly high as well and didn't feel supported as local members.

The clientele has definitely changed and as a result this golf club has drastically increased their prices because they know that these visitors will pay these high prices.

All in all, the course layout is very well done. Easy to walk. The scenery is exceptional and the course and greens conditions were excellent.

Due to the high pricing we chose not to give them any more business in the clubhouse for drinks or for food.

The ladies washroom is very well laid out and clean.

Sadly we won't be returning to Revelstoke golf course. The tone and attitude of staff at the golf course has really changed for the negative . The focus is very much on making money versus customer service and enjoyment . We will find another golf course for our...

There was a course delay of 10 minutes… not a big deal pre normal, my group was playing a scramble so we were decently fast and mostly waiting on the group in front, waiting almost 10 min every shot but the group behind decided it was a good idea to complain about us and the marshal had to come chat with us, again pre normal since he was figuring out what’s going on… but then they started hitting their ball right next to us or 10 yards behind us and giving us attitude at the tee box about playing through when it was clear the next group was 200 yards in front on a par 4, when we said no they chose to comment on “you can’t hit the ball that far just go” like we should put the next group in danger like they did to us. While all this went on, we made complaints multiple times about unsafe play and rudeness from the players behind us and I guess the Marshall decided it was not worth his time now, and never followed up on this even though this went on for the entire back 9. We were essentially speed playing and did not get to enjoy the course at all. Would not recommend due to preferential treatment of some guests over others, resulted in a waste of money...

I am 32 weeks pregnant and ordered a virgin ceaser at the clubhouse on August 27. After getting my drink and consuming about 1/3, the waitress came back to tell me she gave me the wrong drink - I was drinking a double vodka ceaser.

Some friends in our group spoke up to say that I am pregnant and that is not okay, and the waitress laughed and said “it’s a good thing you didn’t drink a lot then”. I was incredibly stunned/ upset and didn’t get the chance to speak up myself, but I didn’t receive any apology or acknowledgment of how wrong this is, nobody came to the table to ask if I needed anything, and the waitress was rude upon being asked to void my food.
