Ok. I am re-writing this review after a call with the owner, advising my review was completely wrong. Instead I'll state the facts: Sept 6th at 4:21pm I ordered some speakers online using their finance with Flexiti option. Website states while shopping order will ship sept 8. Sept 8th at 2pm I contacted EFLC to ask if it had shipped since it was still in received status. reply Wed at 12pm: "at the moment, it appears that the order is about a day past the shipping time but with the order placed on Sunday, things were pushed by one day because of the long weekend" I received an e-mail 5 hours later saying it would would ship 2 business days later due to high order volumes. However the status said "backorder". I e-mailed back immediately as the backorder confused me (I sent two e-mails asking a bunch of questions, since the site still showed the item in stock with next day shipping), and since I had been told 1 or 2 days before, I did not pay attention to the 2 business days quote in the e-mail. At this point I am frustrated as I had two open tickets before when I tried to purchase other things, and the site also has an issue with logging in whilst on a product page (The owners feedback is that there is no issue with the site, the issue is with me - an IT guy). Thurs Sept 10 at 9:57am reply: "Please refer back to the previous email- this is not a backorder but a temporary delay in shipping. I copied the information for you below, but we expect this to be shipping very soon, so it is not an extended backorder by any means. "we are aware that its taking a little longer than expected as we've had an increase in order volume over the past few days. We are working hard to get everything shipped in a timely manner. Please allow us up to 2 days to get your order shipped."" I send a rant e-mail (thurs. 11pm) about the issues I have been having with the site with an apology in advance that I am going to rant. I ask about discounts for late shipments, as I see them on the coupon page. I mentioned I could have had these items from my usual dealer already, so this is frustrating. I leave a 2 star review on google reflecting that I am having issues but will update the review when things are resolved.
Then I get a ridiculous response to my rant e-mail:
I can confirm now that your order is ready to ship out today. Our apologies for the confusion with the shipping times for this, and we would truly appreciate it if you could remove the 2-star review on Google given the updates and resolution for your order. There were some delays with Flexiti, and this caused some confusion about the shipping for your order, but we have approval from them so everything is resolved. We are currently reviewing your feedback to better streamline the online checkout as well, so we are taking steps to address your concerns about the checkout process.
THIS:
We are ready to ship everything today, but we need you to remove the online feedback, and once that is taken down we can ship out this order and apply a $100 EFLC gift card for use towards any future purchase (does not expire). Let me know your thoughts, and we will proceed as soon as we can come to an agreement on this.
So I read this as: remove your review first, and then we will ship your order. Basically holding my order hostage until I remove my review.
I escalate to the manufacturer that this dealer is holding my order hostage.
the owner calls me - tells me my review is wrong, then proceeds to tell me I was told this would ship September 11th, and while technically it never did, it did say on Wednesday "up to 2 days". He says his customer rep is upset, I am upset, and it should be water under the bridge and lets get my order shipped. He says, please update your review to reflect EXACTLY what happened. Flexiti is new to EFLC, so issues with flexiti... The owner specifically apologized for that, and the backorder status. I apologized for missing the 2 day part of the e-mail. He apologized for his reps threat.
I'll get a credit and the items will ship today.
Current status:...
Read moreEFLC offers the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life, not exaggerating whatsoever, and I will never buy from this company again, nor would I ever shy away from discouraging friends and family from buying through EFLC.
On August 5 I bought a Epson HC2250 projector through their website and paid for expedited shipping through Purolator. I was given an ETA of August 9 and their website states that products ship out within 48 hours of ordering on business days. Soon after ordering I got an email asking to clarify my phone number. I responded same day, but did not receive a response. By their own claim of shipping times, my projector should have shipped the following day (a Friday) or Monday (the 9th, my original ETA). Over Friday and Monday I received no shipping notification. I sent a follow up email on Monday (Aug 9th) to EFLC to make sure they received my phone number, worried they did not get my email. That same day Josh Gaudreault responded to let me know that "It shouldn't be much longer before we have the product ready to ship, that will happen the same day the order is complete at our warehouse. The next update you receive will be a tracking number by email, so that will be the same day the product is here and in our hands. Keep an eye out for that, and you'll know as soon as the order is on the way to you." This didn't clarify the status of my order, but it at least let me know they were hopefully trying to deal with it as soon as possible.
I waited another couple days thinking my projector would ship, but by the end of the business day on the 11th I still had not heard anything from EFLC. I sent another email to Josh asking if he could give me any update on when my projector might actually ship. The following day I received no response. Then the next day I also received no response, so around 7PM on Friday (13th) I called into the phone number in my Order Confirmation email and left a voice message giving my order number and situation and asking for someone to give me a call back.
The weekend passed and Monday came. Around 4PM Monday (the 16th) I had still not received either an email or phone call from EFLC. That's a full 5 days with no response to my last email. I called before they closed at 4:30PM. After talking to Josh he says he'll get into contact with their shipping manager to try to sort the problem out and that he'll send me an email tomorrow. Same day I receive an email from Josh stating, "I spoke to my shipping manager and he said your order should be shipping tomorrow morning, so thank you again for your patience during this short delay. We'll send you a tracking number by end of day after its picked up tomorrow." Excellent!
Unfortunately, Tuesday (the 17th) comes and goes and I have no shipping notification email. Then Wednesday (18th) comes. I wait until late in the afternoon, thinking maybe it will finally ship today, but I haven't received an email as of 3:30pm. A little after that time I decide to call in again. I tell Josh I am once again calling about the projector, and instead of letting me speak he tries to talk over me. He offers excuses, he is working from home and cannot get the status of the order himself. He says if I want to know why it hasn't shipped I have to send another email so that he can have it forwarded to the shipping manager. I tell him last time I tried communicating through emails I didn't receive a response for 5 days. I email anyways after the call. No response the next day (19th). I send another email at 4PM. No response on Friday (20th) as of 3:30PM.
I call again and cannot get through (around 4PM the 20th). I check the order status on their website and it now says ORDER VOIDED as of Aug 18. I check my bank and paypal accounts to see if I have been refunded, no refund! I continue trying to call the line for over a half hour but do not get through once. Every other time I have gotten through without issue. What kind of company cancels an order with zero communication with the customer? I guess I will have to take this up...
Read moreWish I Had Of Read "Yelp Reviews" First On EFLC before becoming their latest victim. It wouldn't surprise me if 98% of the positive posts about them on here are from fake made up accounts created by them in their spare time, wouldn't surprise me at all. Speaks volumes on which comments receive the most likes, you can scroll down forever on here & find the real truth from past & present victims, don't be fooled by fake accounts / smoke & mirrors.
It’s disgusting & sad how deceptive, corrupt, rip-off artist type of businesses is destroying honest, by the book ones in the same field. Furthermore, their corrupt behaviour just increases sales for places like Amazon which are already dominating the market. Why? because Amazons policies guarantee customer satisfaction for real, no hassle returns, refunds, in days once shipped back & so on.
Mr. Mason Shapiro owner of EFLC has tried several tactics like bullying, making me feel trapped in the sale, he will then ignore all calls & emails, he’ll use every toxic method to keep your money regardless of how much pain & suffering to the customer he may cause. It’s like he gets off on it. He has been screwing me around for 15 days so far, he has my money & product in his possession but still will not return my funds or communicate with me. The product was never opened but he wants to rip me off for $64.00 regardless, he appears to basically hide behind his computer / website, possibly in his basement? While playing destructive games with peoples lives & money. Lastly, I question if positive comments about his business are real or fake? I furthermore question if the products he claims to be brand new factory sealed, really are? Don’t usually brand-new receivers like Onkyo, Denon & so on come in plain brown carboard boxes with black writing / printing on them & offer a 2-year warranty. While repaired / recertified ones come in boxes modified with coloured labels / pictures added to them and only offer a one-year warranty? Personally, I do not trust this man & his company, all I wanted was to get my money back & not be ripped off, Funny how quick he takes your money but screws you over to get it back. It troubles me having to lower to his level as he continues to ignore calls & emails and won’t confirm when or if he will refund my money at all. Next step police, fraud squad, cyber division, I guess? Update My bank informed me that they stole $72.00 not $64.00 from me, is this not criminal actions? / returning a never opened box about 50 miles away. They advertise free shipping, a legit business may ask for return shipping fees ($26.00) only but a suspicious, unethical one would mirror (EFLC) actions ($72.00 Ripoff). I'm requesting the investigation continue as I feel completely robbed & advise others ( in my opinion ) unless you want to be their next victim to stay clear of this extremely...
