Moncton Golf Club — Local services in Riverview

As a member of the golf course for many years, I love my Golf Club and I found that we can have a beautiful experience every time I played on the course. And for the summer experience I give a 5/5 for the maintenance of it and on the summer staff that works there. Everyone is professional and act properly.

As it is for the Winter portion of it (simulators) I would put a 2-3/5. It’s not manage by the club anymore since new management took place and I believe that they lost the golf portion of it. If you need a winter golf lesson or any golf related advice it will be hard to get those as there is no golf pro there anymore.

Also I would advice that if you want to practice and improve your golf to book the simulators during the morning as this is now a new management, they are pushing the atmosphere to be more like Bar/party zone. And are more oriented into this and not really in off season improvements session.

Also be advice that all reviews that are directly on the simulators reservation page are approved by the simulators management staff before being put on their page so not all of them will be there as they want a 5 stars rating.

As of the equipment and the location: It’s perfect they have great équipement and situated in a good and easy accès place.

If I could give this course a 0 star I would. I will start with the "good".

The course is nice. Decent challenge. I'm no pro golfer but I played enough to get a feel for quality. It's well maintained although bumpy in many parts.

Now the bad. This ruined the entire experience for my group. We were 6 split into teams of 3 with one group following behind the other. The golf Marshall was quick to meet us and introduce us and give us a low down of the rules which is expected. The problem was the constant harassment from him. He followed us for almost the entire 18 holes and just watched us like a hawk. We even stopped to take a short breather because it was a hot day so we stopped in the shade and he was forcing us to go forward with nobody in front of our back of us except our friends. He was very difficult for our group and even worse for our friends behind us.

We are not pro golfers. We go to have fun and not get harassed or watched like a hawk. That course made over $600 from us and it felt like we were outcasts for not being regulars. I will never return to this establishment and I will also recommend everyone to keep away from this course as well unless you are professional or don't mind feeling stared down by the golf Marshall the entire duration. I've played alot of golf in my day so I have seen many different types of course conditions from bethpage black to your local muni. I found the course to be in not very good conditions for the money , the fairways were a bit rough and the greens were extremely slow. Now the greens may have been like that due to the type of grass they use which seemed a different strain but were definitely long. Also we're in the area on vacation and I asked if my wife could ride along in the cart and was told she would have to pay. Fair enough but first time we were asked to pay from other experience.
