Spruce & Iron @ Moncton Golf Club — Local services in Riverview

My recent visit to the Spruce & Iron restaurant located at the Moncton Golf Club left much to be desired. The experience was marred by a series of disappointments, from the overcooked eggs to the lackluster ambiance.

Let's start with the eggs. I ordered a simple dish of eggs over easy, expecting a runny yolk that would perfectly complement the other breakfast components. Unfortunately, what I received was a plate of eggs that were embarrassingly overcooked. The yolks were solidified, lacking any of the desired oozy texture that makes an over-easy egg so enjoyable. It was clear that the kitchen staff had missed the mark on basic egg preparation.

In addition to the disappointing food, the overall dining experience fell short. The service was lackluster, with staff members appearing disinterested and inattentive. It was evident that customer satisfaction was not a priority. The ambiance of the restaurant was equally underwhelming, lacking any distinctive character or charm.

Considering the combination of overcooked eggs and the exorbitant price tag, I cannot recommend the Spruce & Iron restaurant at the Moncton Golf Club. We had our wedding reception there in 2021. I would highly recommend them! Our first date was at the cocoa room with them at a wedding so we knew we wanted to go with them for our wedding as it was really special! Communication was great, planning a wedding with them was as stress free as it could be! They are so knowledgeable for weddings and receptions. We live out of town so they always accommodated us for meetings which was a bonus. Planning a wedding is stressful but during Covid ot was extra stressful but with them we knew we had nothing to worry about. The reception was beautiful and just like we imagined. Good day to the whole team of Spruce and Iron. As the day get closer for our wedding you never fail to make it stress free to your clients. Your whole team is been consistent for being hospitable and detailed oriented. I highly recommend Spruce and Iron. Just a short story, we’ve been to at least 5 venues before we found S&I. Either over-priced, not friendly, no human connections, just simply business. BUT when we went to visit Spruce and Iron. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, they suggested whats best for the clients reasonable expense not to over spend. Wedding and event is about connecting with your clients.
