my groups and mines experience here was honestly not the greatest (october 15th, 2023) for $104 for 2 tickets including the blindfolded one i definitely think it could’ve been scarier, im not sure if it’s just the night i went or if it’s like this every night but 1) there was barely any actors in the houses and even in the blindfolded one, it seemed like the set up was done better than the amount of actors, 2) some of them didn’t even TRY to scare us they simply popped their head out and with the most simplest “jump scare” as if ur hiding behind a corner trying to scare your friend and 3) again for $104 i think it was a waste. The lines weren’t extremely long and went by decently, and the actors on the outside were also spooky along with the great show put on. Also speaking of the blindfolded one previously, there was like 3 actors in the whole thing that tapped ur shoulder one time and left, we were walking blindfolded holding a rope with literally no scares for the longest time and other people came out with no reaction as well. I definitely remember this place being scarier before, but even a worker had told us as leaving after asking us how it was that mostly not every actor could make it tonight because we told them how barely anyone popped out, i felt like i was more amazed by the inside decor than the scaring lol. As walking through one of the actors literally said “have some more enthusiasm” meanwhile her “scare” was telling me hello and peeping her head from the corner and walking behind us lol. really disappointed with how this experience went. waste of money tbh. This place will definitely scare more kids than...
Read moreThe time and effort that go into this place is evident. Some of the best props in all of Vancouver. This is one of the best visual Haunted houses. The horror drag show this year for people waiting in line was fantastic. Seriously, I wish I had brought cash to tip the performers. There are staple performers I look forward to seeing every year and they do a great job. This season I feel the amount of actors inside the place was minimal, also they didn’t do much to scare you. A lot of vacant creepy staring and not much jumping or screaming. There’s a lot of hidden corners and places to achieve this but alas on my walk through they were all empty. The clown blow up maze felt too long for nothing to happen. It would be much better for it to be close to pitch black for better effect. Some times the best horror is the anticipation of fear. Darkness does that. Lastly, they did a fantastic job of keeping the line moving although for the cost of this place, I don’t wanna be in a conga line with strangers crammed into this experience, my suggestion is smaller groups and more checkpoints to hold people up to stop traffic jams. If a new feature could be added, separate the group in some sort of sensory deprecation tank that spin and open to next room. Release the people at different times and make them believe they are solo. Bravo on the hard work but I wanna see this place grow in a new way, it’s been the same order for...
Read moreA pretty spooctacular dope experience! Iv been to PNE Fright Nights and the Hanuter Corn Maze as well as this place, they all have a unique experience and comparison of pro's and con's. We lined up for around 45 minute wait on a Saturday night early-October at 7pm and the experience was in total about 20 minutes at an average pace. Waiting can be frustrating, but you can jam to some old school beats and they have dressed up characters walking around, interacting & spooking people out etc. It also is worth it as they do this to do well at separating groups to ensure you get the full experience and not feel like your following some random in front of you. During the entire experience, we did not see any other groups which was nice. There are two haunted houses in total which are both indoor and under shelter, I preferred the second house which is a horror hotel theme. I do love the effort and thought that is put into the aestherics and logistics down to the smallest detail, you can tell a lot of pride and precision has been put in from the event organizers. Both houses also offer a solid mix of different frights, themes and spooks without being too repetitive. The actors are fun, talented and try to make sure you enjoy this as much as possible. Also hilarious, there's a chicken-out counter legit, for people who don't make it through....
