The jury is in on Mejuri. This place is the ultimate scam. Iâm not normally a person to write reviews, but this one could not be overlooked. Let me be as succinct as possible: I originally purchased two items from Mejuriâs Black Friday sale. They marketed 20% off, if your total purchase was more than $100. I had to exchange one of the items. I had to return it first (stores were closed during COVID) and was going to use the money to purchase a smaller size. When I put the return through online, it said my estimated refund was $40, however, I only received $7.91. When I brought this to the attention of their customer service team, after many emails back and forth, they informed me that the return brought my original total under $100, therefore they tacked back on the pre-sale price difference to the order. I tried to explain that I was repurchasing for a different size, but they did not care and said the sale is over. The second item that I bought from the aforementioned sale, was a single stud earring. I booked a studio appointment in order to get this stud put in, however, when I got there, they said I had to purchase an earring that is from their studio because they use a different backing when putting in earrings for piercings (not the butterfly backing). So, essentially, I bought this earring for no reason. At this point, I was already annoyed that I had to spend more money at this place but figured it would be worth it. a. After my friend and I got our new piercings there, the backings were too long. We made an appointment to get shorter backings. When we had already gotten there because our appointment was in 5 minutes, we got a text saying our appointment was canceled by the piercer because they had to leave. Btw, the place is not close. I had planned on never buying anything from this store again. Unfortunately, one of my friendâs Mejuri earring fell out and couldnât be found. I went in to buy a replacement to match the other one for her. They said my friend would have to get it put in by their piercer. The store did not have this earring in stock. The employee on the floor checked on their phone and said, âweâre actually getting that one in stock tomorrow!â They said to come back but it is not close to my house, so I asked them if I bought a gift card (since this was a surprise) would I be able to get the earring in a few days. They said yes and reassured me multiple times that I would be able to get that earring, as I was quite wary about getting ripped off yet again. We booked an appointment for a few days later to ensure it wouldnât have sold out. We tried calling just to make sure before, but no one picked up. We got to the store, told the piercer which one we wanted, to which he said, âoh no, that earring has been discontinued.â Our jaws dropped. We spoke to the manager that sold me the gift card and she said that we could buy anything we wanted with the gift card. This was not the point. I would never have bought the gift card, but I was told the specific item I wanted would be restocked the next day. How could an item be stocking one day and discontinued the next? She said there was no way a gift card could be refunded. After much grievance, she said she would look into it. a. We went back to the store for an update and the manager said there is another solution. They revamped the earring (mind you, it was $10 more now). She said there was 1 in stock at the Bloor location. We made an appointment and called right before to make sure they had it still. We got there, the piercer was very nice and everything went smoothly. We thought, âfinally, this whole fiasco is resolved.â UntilâŚwe went to pay with the gift card, and she said that location doesnât accept gift cards because they are under Holt Renfrew. The earring was already in my friendâs ear, so we were stuck paying out of pocket. I will never, ever shop at this store again, and will be telling everyone I know not to as well. Such a shame, because they have nice products, however, their customer experience is just...
Read moreI had two frustrating visits to Mejuri this week that left me highly disappointed. On my first visit, I witnessed an elderly woman struggling to enter the store with a walker while three sales associates stood nearby chatting without offering any assistance. As for my own experience, I called ahead to check if a bracelet was in stock and was told it would be held for me (was told the hold was approved by a manager and the sales associate took down my information). However, when I came in later that day, I was informed that the bracelet had been sold despite the prior agreement, and no effort was made to help me resolve the issue.
A few days later, I called again to inquire about another item. After some back and forth, I was told they "might" have it in stock. When I asked to confirm the sales associate told me "I can look if you want but it will take a while" - If I am coming into the store I want to make sure the item is in stock. I was told they couldnât hold it for me, despite a prior associate having told me they can hold an item for me just days earlier. I also inquired about engraving a ring (was told the machine was down that day but would be running the following day). When I arrived in store I was told machine was still brokenâsomething I was never informed of by other stores, which had sent me to the Ossington location in the first place. The engraver has been down for months according to a sales associate. The solution provided was that I keep checking back in the new year and "hopefully" it would be running. This item was supposed to be a gift and now I will have to source and pay for the engraving.
The communication between staff members was horrendous, and the lack of customer service was shocking. I wonât be returning, and I wonât be recommending this...
Read moreIâm writing this was really careful and a lot of motion Iâve been really stressed and emotionally stressed because Iâve been accused of returning and ring that I never used. I just tried now. I return it the next day because the size is small from this company and I waited for a week and something and they confirmed that been returned they sent me an email that they will return, the payment through the payment and it was with the ticket and then when I contact them another week and three days it didnât receive the payment. They accused me that thereâs a scratch on the ring .
