Overall a decent little shop. My one issue and a warning to others, if you do purchase an item and wish to return or exchange it, you will be required to have ALL tags. Even the small tiny price tags. I thought this was odd for a store that also sells used items, exactly the same category as item I purchased (rain suite for a toddler). I was refused even store credit on the sole basis that the item returned did not have the original price tag (I was told the reason is they require it for the item description? Its a rainsuite...). When purchased, this item was not in the original packaging (there were identical suites in other sizes in the original packages hence why I knew it was missing its original plastic bag) so I figured it wouldn't be an issue upon returning it a day later (unused completely and in the EXACT same condition as purchased). No refund, exchange or even store credit, on top of this I ensured to ask before purchase if I could return it if it did not fit and was told exact quote "of course! You can return for exchange or store credit if item is unused, no problem". Maybe this company should be making their employees aware of their very own policies because it was certainly a problem not even 24 hours later. EDIT: Despite the very poor response below by the owner, I was never provided the option for consignment, tags are rarely referred to in the retail industry as packaging and the receipt was VERY vague in it's language, I even asked for their return policy in person and was never told to keep the tags. I recently visited Great Things in Store and had the most amazing experience, especially thanks to one of their wonderful team members, Martine. From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with the warmest smile and made me feel completely at ease. Martine is a little shy, but her gentle, humble personality shines through in everything she does. You can tell that she truly cares about her customers and enjoys making people feel welcome.
Her knowledge of the store is incredible, and she patiently took the time to help me explore some unique treasures I never would have discovered on my own. On top of that, upon bringing in several brand name and excellent condition clothes, all items were refused with a note indicating āstrong odour, likely dampā! All items were clean, dry, and in new condition. Any possible odour would be from the new plastic bin I had just purchased from Walmart to adhere to their drop off policy. I respect the storeās right to refuse items, although the condition in which they returned the clothing was horrendous. Items were tossed back in bin, nothing re-folded neatly as I had it, and everything was now wrinkled. When I reached out the store privately to inquire if this was common practice, I was told āSorry you were disappointed with your experienceā. After rearranging my weekly schedule to drop off and pick up according to their deadlines, then have my property treated this way, Iām leaving this experience feeling disrespected. No acknowledgment on the part of the staff that they could do better is disappointing. Lots of other great stores to support in the future!
