Route 22 Artist Collective Gallery — Attraction in Town of Cochrane

Unfortunately, I was very embarrassed by a staff member. I am a 25 year-old girl. I walked in the store, smiled, and said hello to a female staff member. I was looking at the artwork and hoping to show my family, when she suddenly appeared and said “no filming is allowed, there are signs everywhere, please delete your video,” and peered at my phone screen to check that it was deleted. Then, she walked away. She did not show me where the sign was, did not ask if I needed help as a customer, did not say thank you. I felt embarrassed, and for a staff member to check my phone was wrong. To avoid situations like this, please have a sign at the front door that clearly states “no photography.” As a racial minority, I felt very unsafe being suddenly approached in the way you did.
