Bosa foods is a great store. The olives in the glass display are simply amazing. If you like olives and usually buy cans/jars, you must try Bosa's. Also a great selection of cheeses at good prices. We found smoked paprika there as well which is super-tastes like bacon! A huge selection of dry/fridged pastas. Why not 5 stars? I'm a chocoholic and I was very surprised they don't carry gourmet Italian chocolates. Maybe in the future.. In the pics are two amazing types of olives. The Hercules are very 'meaty' almost like portobello mushrooms, and the aftertaste is like wine. The Cergnola are very fresh and vibrant. The Cervelat salami is very different from other Cervelats I've had-Bosa's is very smoky. All delicious. Compared to Urban Fare and Whole Foods, I think Bosa's products are priced very fairly. Update from last trip-went to get cheeses for Christmas fondue. I got the classic Swiss trio-Appenzeller, Gruyere, and Emmentaler. Also grabbed some olives as usual. Along with the fruity Castelvetrano olives, I also got Picholine. Delicious. I will say that the pitted Castelvetrano were not as firm and bright tasting as the one with pits. I recommend the one with pits. Of course, had to get some cold cuts as well. Everything made an amazing table. So if you will make fondue, definitely stop by Bosa for cheese. OK, changed from 4 stars to 5 stars. I do not care if they do not have Italian gourmet chocolate now as their products are so amazing! Got some Gypsy salami-nice and spicy, and Finocchiona (with fennel) salami which was out of this world. I noticed that they cut the salamis different thicknesses. The Finocchiona was the thinnest but so soft and incredible flavour. Also got Schiacciate olives. They were briny, meaty, and a little spicy-delicious! My best find was tinned mussels in olive oil. This is the first time in my life I have found tinned (or jarred) seafood in olive oil. Usually it is industrial seed oils so I am excited to try this. By the way, they have one of the cleanest store bathrooms I have seen. Especially during covid where a lot of bathrooms have been closed, this is especially appreciated. A small amount of underground parking but free on surrounding streets. A great salami plate and salty olives with coffee and pancakes. I'll eat Bosa for breakfast, lunch, and dinner :-) Daniel

Disappointing..I expected more variety and different brands. The biscotti section was severely lacking. I was expecting the usual eg Mulino Bianco, Pan Stella and gocciole. The holy trinity that you can easily get in Italy. I do not understand why as an Italian grocery call speck “black tiroler bacon.” Lol ! Seriously? In fact I nearly glossed over or nearly missed it entirely if I didn’t look closely. Please call it the proper name as it’s the RIGHT and CORRECT word as it was very misleading. I showed it my Italian teacher and my Bellunese boyfriend and both were confused and amused. Why not keep the original name as SPECK or maybe market it as “Austrian- Italian prosciutto” (I know it’s not correct but sounds a lot better than black tiroler bacon and an apt description !!!) The only saving grace is that the price for the speck was 2.99 which I think is reasonable price which is more or less the same in Veneto. On the plus side I was pleasantly surprised to see bresaola.

Horrible experience. I have been coming to this chain of stores since I was a little girl. I have always looked forward to the high quality and delicious food. However, I went there a couple weeks ago planning to buy my father a birthday gift. I ordered a chicken parm at a deli and the female staff was very nice, despite being swamped with work. The manager came in to help her with orders and asked me if I wanted it heated up. I said yes. He started getting it ready before putting it down and disappearing into the back for a good 10 minutes. He then came back and started helping a store clerk at the checkout. My poor little chicken parm was just sitting on the counter and I was standing at the deli with arms full of groceries for another 10 minutes before the kind lady at the deli noticed and heated it up for me. I proceeded to checkout where my debit card declined, where I offered to pay in two transactions because my card has a limit of $100 per transaction, and my total was a couple dollars over. This has never been an issue at other stores. I waited 25 minutes while the manager came and left several times, walking right by me and letting many other customers check out after telling me he'll get back to me in a second. Eventually, the kind store clerk helped me with it, telling me she was waiting on the manager for his help but saw i had been standing there for a while and apologized . Very kind staff, still high quality food and products, but beyond...

Amazing deli with great food and mostly wonderful staff. However, I had an unfortunate experience today around lunchtime. A colleague and I stopped by to grab some lunch after dropping off a load of recycling. We were a bit grimy, so we decided to wash up before ordering. Near the checkout, there are two restrooms. One had an 'occupied' light on, and the other had a green light indicating it was available. I asked Tammy if I could use the restroom with the green light, but she told me it was currently occupied.

I returned to the deli and told my colleague that the restroom wasn’t available. However, when she went to ask, she was immediately allowed in. I waited behind, believing the restroom was occupied, as Tammy had told me. My coworker then held the door for me, and we both washed our hands with the door open.

I’m a 31-year-old Indigenous man, and my colleague is a Caucasian woman in her 40s. This experience left me feeling that I was treated differently based on assumptions about my appearance. It’s disappointing because I’ve always enjoyed the food and service here, but this interaction was...
