One star is for the business, not for the masseuse as she was great and I have no concerns about her.
I went in for a massage for the first time at Deep Roots today and had a terrible experience. I was told after the massage, at the front desk, that my masseuse was not yet registered with my insurance company, so they couldn’t bill it directly. I was okay with that and paid out of pocket, and was told I’d get a call later in the day about what would happen next.
I did receive a call later, only to find out it would take about three weeks for my masseuse to register with the company. I understand that processing takes time, and I was okay with that. But my problem is that my insurance will cease in a week’s time. The front desk was simply sorry and said she couldn’t do anything about it. She mentioned the owner would call me, but I never received a call.
Instead, the front desk staff called again to tell me that I could go ahead and submit the claim myself, explain the situation to my insurance company, and that there was nothing else she could do. So now I have to deal with my insurance, be on hold for who knows how long, explain the situation, and go through all the trouble. For what? I’m not a shareholder at Deep Roots, so I’m not going to go through all that trouble.
You were not upfront, and you should be the ones to take the hit and refund me my money. Absolutely poor and deceiving customer service...
Read moreI recently visited this new Massage Therapy clinic in Bridgwater and let me tell you. It was amazing. I have been seeing massage therapists for the better half of a decade due to some problems with my shoulder and neck muscles causing bad tension headaches. I am from Brandon and so when we moved here I went almost 2 years without bothering to find a new masseuse. My tension headaches started to resurface recently and I decided it was time to find one.
I work in the Bridgwater area so I decided to give Deep Roots a shot. My appointment was with Jason Brasher and he was phenomenal. The atmosphere they have created is welcoming and calming. Jason was also the first masseuse I've been to who used his elbows and forearms to work out the knots in my back/shoulders which I was impressed with. I am a small woman and people tend to be scared of using too much pressure (which trust me, I always ask for!) but thankfully he did not shy away from it when I asked.
10/10 would recommend to anyone I talk to. I've already told my colleagues to give them a shot, because bonus, they direct bill to Telus health! (Great west life, sunlife, etc)
I will be back...
Read moreI had an amazing massage with Nina- this was not the issue. However, the person at the front desk was abrupt with me and quite rude. Everything went well until I wanted to book an appointment for my husband and just the way she asked for my credit card on file was not the manner I will speak to someone I was providing a service. I have never had a no-show with them or any issues. so the overall attitude was very wierd and off putting Sadly, it is the first time this has happened to me, hopefully it doesn't happen again, but i will be giving them some space for now. I do not like to be treated like a nuisance or with disrespect. I have read of someone else being treated unkind by thier front desk staff and perhaps it's time for a coaching/mentoring for front desk staff. Perhaps not. Idk. There are just ways you speak to customers. My 2 cents. I have always received great...
