Did not like the food. Chicken ball batter wasn't cooked all the way through, deep fried items had very strong oil scent and taste, meat was tough, any items with batter had the batter falling off and soggy, noodles and rice were very salty. The whole order smelled of deep fry oil.
I've ordered the same items from other Chinese restaurants with none of the above issues and those are further from my home. My car and home ended up smelling of nothing but oil.
I ended up throwing out 95% of the order and had to scramble to find alternate option for the guests at my house.
Because of my schedule and the restaurant hours I wasn't able to call until Monday (ordered on Friday night). When I talked with the manager he argued that my complaints weren't valid as others ordered and there were no issues (possibly they didn't call?). He also said to get the quality of the food we would of had to dine in. Lastly he said because I had no proof of my order (I paid cash and wasn't given a receipt) and because I didn't contact them right away there was nothing they could do.
After contacting BBB he offered an dine-in store credit for 1/2 the price I paid for my food. I declined as I did not want to eat the food we didn't enjoy.
Very frustrating experience and...
Read moreThis restaurant serves up some truly impressive dishes. Their beef brisket and tofu stew is a standout, with the brisket stewed to tender perfection and the tofu soft and silky, absorbing the savory flavors of the sauce. The broth strikes a perfect balance - not too heavy but full of depth, with a careful blend of spices that add complexity to the dish. It’s clear that each ingredient has been thoughtfully prepared, resulting in a harmonious and satisfying meal.
On the other hand, the Kyoto-style pork chop is a different but equally delightful experience. The pork is fried to a crispy golden brown, contrasting beautifully with the tender, juicy meat inside. What’s notable is the natural sweetness of the pork, highlighted without the need for an additional sauce. This simplicity allows the quality of the pork to shine through. Both dishes showcase the chef's skill and attention to detail, making this restaurant a great choice for anyone looking to enjoy well-crafted,...
Read moreWe tried this restaurant for the first time, because our favourite place was closed. We ordered 3 dishes- 2 seemed good, but the 3rd -sesame chicken -was a bit pink inside and rubbery and looked undercooked. I ate one big bite of the chicken before I realized it wasn’t fully cooked. We called the restaurant, and asked for a refund of that one dish, but they insisted that the food be brought back before they would consider a refund. Then we asked if they would deliver a cooked one to us, and we would hand back the undercooked one- they said they didn’t have enough staff to do that. We already drove there once to pick up the food- it was easier to throw the undercooked dish in the garbage instead of making another trip out. Eating undercooked chicken turned us off to eating any more of the meal. We won’t be ordering from there again, and that was a big waste of $50. Too bad their customer service is not very...
