Uncompassionate people working here. I recently went to get prescription filled here in hurry because my father was in the hospital. I was told there are no exceptions rule and It would take up to hour to fill. I can see how hard it is to take pills from one bottle and count them out into another bottle while not let the over whelming bitterness over take your soul ,while print out the instructions on how to take said pills. This place is a joke. Especially when there were five people just standing around behind the counter. Yet again this place is the worst. I went to pick up my pills and this greasy long haired kid behind the counter who was constantly running his hands through his long hair and touching my pill bottles. Do they not train these people on health and safety regulations in this Pharmacy. First off his should've been tied up or in a ponytail to keep out his face. Second wash your hands after you touch your face or hair. What if he's in the back counting pills touching his face and hair. So gross. Clearly they don't care to train these people properly. Just another money grubbing pharmacist trying to do things as cheaply as possible. I will be contacting Shoppers Drug mart head office about this pharmacies...
Read moreAfter conducting some research on a sensitive health issue, I decided to visit the pharmacy's consulting section. I explained to the consultant what I was hoping to get, sought his advice on over-the-counter substitutes. However, he did not allow me to fully explain my additional concerns, interrupting me instead. He spoke loudly, which left me feeling embarrassed. He then recommended a clinic, stating that the nurses there could assist me more effectively. Upon driving to the suggested clinic, I found myself extremely confused. The services they provided were entirely unrelated to my needs. Moreover, they don't have nurses but only social workers, who were equally puzzled as to why a pharmacist would refer me their place for something entirely outside their scope of services.
Aside from the pharmacist, the other staff members outside of the pharmacy were really helpful in assisting me with what I needed. The pharmacy itself, however, seems to cast a dark shadow over the rest, especially based on the reviews I've...
Read moreI wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent experience picking up medication for H. Pylori treatment.
I was surprised to find out I had to pay full price for the medication due to the way it was packaged. While I understand that you informed me it wasn’t covered by insurance, I wasn’t made aware that I had the option to not pick it up and speak with my doctor about prescribing the medications separately—an option that would have been covered.
As a patient, I’m not always familiar with the rules or procedures, and I rely on the expertise of pharmacists and their assistants to guide me through these situations. Simply stating that something isn’t covered without offering alternatives or a bit more explanation feels misleading—especially when there are other, more cost-effective options available.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively. Providing this kind of clarity and support would make a big difference in the...
