El Market — Local services in Bogota, Capital District

Very weird place. They ask for personal information as if they were immigration officers — it’s super uncomfortable, and I don’t understand why I have to share my personal information to a cashier as passport, travel destination and my residency. These questions felt very strange, especially since I visited four other shops in the airport and none of them asked for anything — not even a boarding pass, which would make sense, also is a shop!, so I am free to share or not my personal data, I felt obligated it to do it.

What makes it worse is that this isn’t the first time I’ve had a bad experience at the airport. In the past, I was robbed by workers in the duty-free area also. it happened before at Xue Café, where the staff took our money. The café eventually responded, but this time, in this market, I felt the same kind of behavior and attitude. The staff here were unfriendly, followed us around, but not with the intention to sell they never say hi or can I help you in to find something just follow and made us feel very uncomfortable. The products were also overpriced extremely overprice. Overall, it left a really bad impression and made us feel unsafe. Weird because is not the first time we shop there we had a better impression of this shop in the past but now is nothing...

I understand that everything in the airport is a bit more expensive, but the prices in El Market are way overpriced. 6.000 COP for a bottle of water? not even in "El Dorado" lounge!

Soy colombiano y compré en esta tienda colombiana, pero lamentablemente la atención no refleja en absoluto los valores que nos caracterizan como colombianos. El personal no fue empático ni amable. Al momento de pagar, solo registraron la mitad de mis artículos en la caja y luego me hicieron pasar a otra caja para pagar el resto, donde nuevamente me pidieron el pasaporte y el boleto de embarque. Además, intenté cambiar una almohada de viaje por otro color (recién tomada del estante), y la persona que atendía, con una actitud grosera, me dijo que no era posible. Definitivamente no recomiendo este lugar. Me sorprende que un establecimiento con una atención tan deficiente siga...
