Costa Horses — Local services in Cabo Velas

I reached out via WhatsApp and set up a private tour for my partner and I. We were sent a pin of exactly where to meet at the beach. There were many people there trying to get us to pay for parking but we ended up parking at the cafe across the street and everything was fine. There were a few points throughout the tour it was a little hard to hear our guide but that was to be expected with the wind. The scenery was very beautiful. I was able to go in the water with my horse and galloped. I used to horseback ride a lot when I was younger but I had not galloped in a very long time so I was a little out of practice but it felt amazing and nostalgic to feel the wind through my hair again. We saw some howler monkeys and got to see a few different beaches in the area. They took photos and videos of us which I was grateful for and sent them to us at the end of the day. This was one of the most amazing horseback rides I've ever been on .. the horses are healthy and trained well .. I haven't gone swimming in the ocean with a horse and galloping on the beach as fast as I had today and 20 years and it was heaven on Earth.... My guide was amazing.... And the lady who was on overseeing everything was kind caring and lovely and knowledgeable...... HIGHLY recommend them for ANY and ALL horse riding wishes and dreams.... Hands down the best horses and staff I've worked with on a vacation in a LONG time.... Very professional and horses kept healthy...

This was a really cool experience! We all got our own horses, the guides were nice and took great pictures of us! We will always remember this experience fondly! However, it was very obvious that the horses were tired, hungry and thirsty even BEFORE we started our ride. We were unsure whether they were able to have food, water and a break before or after our time with them. The guides, while very nice to us seemed as if they didn’t treat the horses with the most care. I hope in the future they are able to treat the animals better in order to make this a 5 star...
