Faisanela — Restaurant in Cabo Velas

Service- the host was very polite and welcoming. The wait staff was helpful and attentive. Food- we ordered the beef tartar, the salads, the beet hummus, mahi mahi, beef tenderloin, octopus and mussels pasta, tikka masala chicken and for dessert, the vanilla and caramel crepes and orosi catalana cream. Everything was delicious except for the orosi catalana cream. It was cool and warm, creamy and crunchy and the color was an odd beige. It reminded me of a cross between flan and creme brulee. The beef tartar was okay, but i would not order again. Ambiance- very nice! The tables are beautifully set up and not too close to each other, the lighting is nice and overall just warm and inviting. We will be dining here again during our stay...

The food here was wonderful. But, with an 8pm reservation, it should not take over 2 hours for 5 people to have a meal. The mahi mahi was cooked perfectly. My wife had fish tacos which were also tasty. Our other companions all enjoyed their shank steak and pasta. Our server was very attentive but wow, the meal was incredibly slow. Beautiful restaurant with decent food. On the last day of our stay we popped in here for a quick breakfast. We were seated for over 20 mins and had to get the hostess to before someone came to take our order. If you eat here at night, keep an eye on the ceiling for a cute little surprise, Owen just might come out to see...
