Brigitte's Ranch — Local services in Cahuita

I had a wonderful horse ride at Brigitte’s Ranch. Firstly, I work in animal welfare and can say the horses are extremely well cared for. I loved that the horses are bitless which avoids beginners pulling on the horses mouth by accident. We are experienced riders so we got to gallop along the beach and then enjoy walking through the jungle. Our tour guide was amazing (I think he was called Raoul), he was very friendly and knowledgable. We had a break halfway and drank from fresh coconuts! Such an amazing location and place. Full of rare wildlife around the yard. Close to the beach and restaurants, but still away from crowds. friendly staff and pets.

What we missed was quieter fans with improved air circulation, especially in the main room. The location is not getting the ocean breeze i hoped. which means its not enough airflow through the house. so instead of listening to the morning sounds of wildlife from howler monkeys ets. it's all drowned in the loud "Jet turbine fans" in 70-80 decibels circulating the hot-air. It was a big difference in temperature and air quality between the 2 rooms.

The guide actually stopped all of us at a little soda shop so he could run in and grab a cold drink. He did not tell us he was doing this, nor asked if anyone wanted a cold drink. Just brought one out for himself and we were on our way. It was so rude!

The horse I had did not listen and the guide gave me a switch and wanted me to give her a good swat if she wouldn't move faster. The horse already had scars and I would not do it. I just lagged way behind from my kids and didn't get to enjoy riding with them.
