Karting Arena Zagreb — Local services in City of Zagreb

I went here when we were on vacation. Me and my little brother (16 and 14) were going to drive. We found out that above 15 drive separately from the ones under 15 Years old. They use different carts. Adults use carts that go about 45 km/h and children 30 km/h.

The organization feel very modern with a outside part and inside part. Track is alright and nicly maintained. The outside part is a little bumpy. But from my experience they only use it for adults. Track is about 48-50 seconds long. They have a timer system so you can see your times as well as the parents watching.

There is also a little restaurant with a alright meny for the parents waiting. Also a bar with some drinks. The people that work there is very nice and welcoming and take their job seriously. The safety feels like it's taking seriously.

There is free parking at AMAZINGA wich is right next to it. Hopefully this helps.

The only negative I have is the website. It was not very international friendly for us who don't speak Croatian. And we couldn't find the prices. Tho I will rate this 5 stars. Because we had a great time....

This is indoors karting with slower karts (I'd say up to 45km/h), but speed feeling is OK, there are two straights and rest are hard turns where driving technique is more important. It can be fun since they measure time of each kart every lap, and it is even more fun if you come with a group and compete among yourselves (max 11 karts on the track allowed). You can overtake, and "officials" wave blue flag when you have to let faster kart to overtake you, and vice versa, when you are faster then the kart in front of you, it then gets blue flag and you can easily overtake him and try to have your fastest lap. Heat lasts for 10 minutes and it costs 80 HRK (10.60 EUR); you can expect to make 10-14 full laps each lasting on average 36-39 seconds. Fastest drivers do have faster laps, like 32 seconds per lap (first and last lap are not full laps so they are not measured). For Croatian standards, it is on expensive side, but sometimes they offer coupons and it is cheaper to buy few rides at once (groupon "Crno Jaje" website). Karting Arena Zagreb is amazing! New karts, multiple layouts that periodically change a bar for after-race drinks and amazing, competent and polite staff.

The track is also part of the SWS (SODI W SERIES) competitions, organizing multiple leagues with many races for any racing enthusiast.

The Karting Acedemy program was a game changer for me and special kudos go to instructor Josip who helped both me and my team members immensely. He is knowledgeable, patient and really takes the time to explain how to improve. The track walks and debriefing are extremely useful to learn places where I can improve on my own during my practice time.
