Just had a terrible experience at Suna's beach today. I came to the beach today looking forward to watching the sunset, reading a book, and having a dip in the sea. However, I was met by an employee who informed me about a policy that prohibits single individuals from entering the beach unless accompanied by someone of the female gender. This policy is discriminatory based on gender alone, but what shocked me even more was the way the employee expressed it. With poor English skills and an ignorant and arrogant tone, he said, 'No girls, no beach.' This quote is highly misogynistic and left me speechless.
I immediately called the manager to report the employee's behavior and express my disapproval of the discriminatory policies enforced at the establishment. Unfortunately, the manager approached me aggressively and scolded me for 'making a scene,' even though I remained calm throughout the interaction. He even invaded my personal space by getting too close and insisted that I shouldn't disapprove of their policies. Eventually, the manager allowed me to use the beach, but his tone implied that he was doing me a favor by permitting me to spend my own money there.
Furthermore, the service at the beach was incredibly poor. Hardly anyone understood English, and despite my repeated requests, the waiter simply ignored my pleas for a drink. Frustrated, I had no choice but to leave the beach. When I asked for a complaint form, the staff was unable to provide one, nor could they furnish me with an email address to address my concerns. Consequently, posting my complaint publicly on Google Maps seems to be the only option I have left.
In summary, Suna's beach and its employees displayed an immense amount of disrespect and ignorance. From their discriminatory policies to their terrible attitude and aggressive tone, I was left completely dissatisfied with my visit. The only saving grace was the beautiful Cyprus landscape and the Mediterranean Sea, which thankfully have nothing to do with Suna's beach.
I strongly urge everyone to refrain from visiting Suna's beach due to their discriminatory policies, disrespectful staff, and...
Read moreVery Disappointing smelly beach, but beautiful restaurant and setting area.
We came here today in the Morning. We were the first to get in, so we got to see you how is the staff operates.
The guy on the entrance was very welcoming and the place looked very beautiful and inviting at first.
As we went to the beach, we started smelling a very bad smell, which was the result of bad water circulation in the area where the swimming happens. The staff were throwing the cleaning water into the area where the swimming happens..
And it smells extremely bad.
We were disappointed because the place looks amazing, and it’s obvious that they spend a lot of money on it, but I believe the management of it was and is very bad.
We didn’t get a chance to eat at the restaurant, so I cannot read have my experience there was.
I truly hope that they fix this, and the swimming area wouldn’t smell like the sewage system.
I hope next time I come to visit, I could change my review to a better one and have a great experience .
From a price point, it is very affordable you can get in by paying 150 Turkish lira, 1000 for a private place 3500 for luxury place.
I believe that the police could be better in terms of how they take care of the circulation water and other features such as the stairs they were stinky, and they had a lot of dirty residue from the water, which...
Read moreI was so disappointed in this place after our experience last week. After a delightful dinner here a couple of weeks ago, we decided to book a cabana for the day. On Friday, we reserved a cabana, we paid a deposit, they wrote our info down in their book, and we made plans with friends to meet there for the day on Saturday. When we showed up on Saturday, they informed us that they had overbooked the cabanas and we would not be able to use a cabana. They have five cabanas, so how hard is it to keep track of reservations for so few cabanas? I understand that mistakes can happen, but the most frustrating part of the experience was the dismissive and unapologetic behavior of the staff. There was no attempt to accommodate us or offer any type of sincere apology, they simply returned our deposit and showed us the door.
After all the money they have invested in making this a beautiful restaurant and beach club, you'd think they might invest in a better reservation system and some customer service training for their staff so they don't alienate people who live locally and who would be happy to spend money at their establishment if they were treated well. I have no plans to return at this point for dinner or for the...
