Calamari Restaurant — Restaurant in Lapta-Alsancak-Çamlıbel Belediyesi

What a shame have been coming here for over 15 years was advised this year that standards had slipped but still decided to go and give it a try. I wished we hadn’t. We were served warm bottled water that was change when we asked. Was advised not to have the porch up by the waiter as it was frozen. We had actually come to this restaurant as we always have Porkchop every yeat it’s always been the best we orded starters Forgetting the appetisers work given us free which was lovely but unfortunately the appetisers we are put on our table Then seconds afterwards I will start as arrived. We couldn’t possibly eat both at the same time. Our starters We are fine in fact, my mussels were excellent, and I advised the waiter of this. Unfortunately, my chicken was rocksolid, albeit in a beautiful orange and tarragon sauce. My husbands meal was fine Albeit the mash potato was lukewarm we did advise the way to how disappointed we were with the restaurant we told him how long we’ve been going And that standard said sipped he offered us a free dessert We declined the desert is always been free. We didn’t feel it was much of a bonus. We did have free coffee and brandy. We went today with friends and ordered the meze (the first option without the fish). May i also say that in one of the images in goolge maps dated 10 months ago it says that it costs 515TL - the price today was 850TL!! Massive increase in 10 months! In any case, the meze had 12 cold dishes (2 of which were the same) and 10 hot dishes. Which were not 10 for sure. Firstly, they brought a platter with ONE PIECE for each person of the following: fried xalloumi, calamari ring, a very very small fish, crab claw imitation, something else which seemed like a small fried mashed fish and a very small piece of cod (which shouldn't have bones but it did). Once again, one piece of each per person which i found extremely funny especially for the calamari rings. So let's say that these were the first 6 hot dishes. Then they brought some sort of soup which had prawns (2 per person), mussels (1 per person) and again calamari. And rice. And i guess those were the remaining 4 dishes?! I am still not sure! They never brought fries or octopus which are the basics in all fish taverns. For 25 euros per person, the meze, the variety, the portions, everything was unacceptable. I would probably pay half price for the dishes we were served and that would be way more than enough. Once again 25 euros per person for those "12 cold dishes" and "10 hot dishes"!...

I came a while back with my family and the night started off well. I have an allergy to certain nuts which I told the waiter many times and even showed a translated phrase in Turkish saying I cannot have food with nuts. The waiters all said yes no problem, no nuts. Some Meze came out and I usually avoid some, but I was told this was all fine. Then the mains came and I simply got grilled seafood, I started to feel very unwell and straight away knew that I had eaten nuts. I spent nearly 1 hour + in the toilet being very unwell and at one point I thought an ambulance would be needed. In the end I rushed home, but the staff did not offer any compensation and even worse they wanted to charge for more water that I needed while I was being very unwell in the toilet. In the end I think they slightly gave a discount but they were very reluctant, I am lucky I didn’t need to go to hospital. Won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend if you have any...
