Wow. Just wow. The indulgent feeling that comes from getting a deep tissue massage every 2 days for a week is every bit as good as it sounds! To have that happen at the cost of a single massage in the states makes it even more incredible.

Gundula has built an incredible business on the beach and has an outstanding team of massage therapists working at Tropical Treasure.

A massage on a deck literally on the beach, listening to the waves, feeling the wind, and just totally relaxing was incredible.

Everyone at Tropical Treasures was super helpful, from making advance reservations via WhatsApp, to making us feel welcome, and providing some outstanding massages. Ana and Elisabeth both really know how to find a muscle knot and make it go away. Great to actually get deep tissue massage when asking for it.

Tropical Treasure has no vendors on the beach. Others offering massage do. Be careful, read the reviews before committing anywhere else nearby. Some reviews are really bad and you need to do your research to avoid potential issues.

There also a wide variety of souvenirs available here, along with liquor and cigars at prices that will beat your hotel exponentially.

For the ultimate indulgence, book the "four hand" massage. Having two people working on you simultaneously is not something you're likely to forget any time soon!

Tips:

Book a week or two in advance if you want to ensure your appointment(s). Walk-ins are also accommodated though.

Bring USD to pay, you don't want the extra credit card fees, foreign transaction fees, exchange rate fluctuations, etc.

Your belongings will be in a bucket beneath or beside you. No worries about the security of your personal items here.

Dress comfortably. You will be visible to others on the deck, you're not getting naked for this massage. Swimwear or something similar is best to allow access while preserving modesty (or wear more if you're shy, they work with everyone).

If you are staying anywhere in the Uvero Alto area, YOU MUST GO HERE!!! If I go back to Punta Cana I WILL go back. Even if I have to take a cab instead of just walking down the beach to it, I will do it.

First and foremost, they have amazing massages on the beach where you can hear the waves!! And it was a fraction of the price we would have paid for a massage inside a spa at the resort. That one hour was one of the best things that happened in our entire week-long trip. We almost got a second one!! Make an appointment via facebook messenger that day or a couple of days in advance and enjoy.

In addition to the amazing massages they also have a super cute shopping area with great souvenirs, including cigars, local alcohol and jewelry. All the prices are clearly labeled in USD so we felt like we could browse comfortably and get fair prices. All the other souvenir shops we saw on the trip didn’t mark their prices so you had to haggle and that’s not really my thing. That didn’t happen here. They were helpful but not pushy. The people who run the shop are so kind and helpful. My boyfriend and I thought we had lost our wallet and they were so patient with us. They are good people running a good business. I’m glad to say I could offer my support.

Full disclosure all the massage therapists are women and the massage location isn’t fully private. It’s basically a really big balcony with only the massage therapists and customers out there. If you are staying in Punta Cana, anywhere near the Breathless Resort, you are within walking distance of this souvenir and massage shop. Don’t waste your time spending too much money with the people walking on the beach or at your resort - go to Tropical Treasures! They can accommodate multiple people on the massage deck. The prices are unmatched and the quality is amazing. Feeling the breeze & listening to the water while getting a relaxing massage is the best scenario and worth every penny.
