Arrogance. Discrimination.
We came to Finest Punta Cana this early afternoon and because of this restaurant, my baby and us haven’t got any food until 8pm. The reception lady threw us away when we were there first time at around 5pm. Because we WEAR CROCS. We explained to her that was the only pair of shoes we bring for each of us. But the lady still wanted us to get a new pair in the front desk. We then spent almost two hours in the front desk to communicate and had to go to the shop in the resort to purchase a sneaker. But there was no suitable size. The front desk still wanted us to get a pair of shoes in another store 30 mins away. My baby was badly sleepy. We chose to go back, thinking to grab him a bowl of wonton, let him eat something at least and sleep. The reception lady still said it’s the rule, although we saw a few people in the restaurant wearing flip flop. We had bad time in the restaurant, we left there and grabbed some milk in the sweet shop. 8 47pm now, baby is sleeping. My husband and I haven’t eaten anything, upset. I won’t come back...
Read moreWe were excited to try the Korean BBQ at Melting Pot, but it turned out to be one of the worst meals we’ve had at the resort. The experience was disappointing from start to finish.
First, the ventilation fan didn’t work, so the entire space quickly became uncomfortably smoky. The marinated chicken had a strange sour taste that made us worry it might be spoiled—not something you want to risk. The “kimchi” was basically boiled cabbage with Sriracha sauce, which is not even close to being real kimchi.
The quality of the meat and the side dishes was so poor that we couldn’t finish our meal and ended up leaving to find food elsewhere. This place does not meet the standard you’d expect at a resort like this. Definitely do...
Read moreGood food at Finest in Punta Cana. Darissa, our server, was fantastic and attentive.
The food was good for the resort and worth trying. We liked the wontons a lot, and the Mongolian beef was decent. Different than places we have had in the US - more like a beef stew, but good. The Kung Pao chicken was decent too.
Overall, a great experience...
