Bit of a scam market... Items similar to what you can buy in the department stores with marked prices being quite ridiculous. They'll talk about "local" price, which is still higher than buying in a proper store. Prepare to haggle on price, and take note that most items appear to be factory seconds. Price accordingly when negotiating.

There's a Chinese restaurant there that serves delicious and tasty Steak and Egg. It's located right next the Handi Craft Center. I highly recommend people to order the Steak and Egg plate ( you can have it with taro or rice). I've been going to this restaurant since I was 6 years old and it's one of my family's favourite hotspots to buy food in Suva, apart from Joji's. In the Municipal Handicraft Centre you'll find stalls selling authentic and fairly inexpensive Fijian and other Pacific Island handicrafts, carvings, jewelry, gifts and souvenirs made by carvers and traders from Suva with some goods from as far as Lau and Vanua Levu.
