I was just reading through some comments on here before writing my review and some I agree with and others are a bit ridiculous… someone’s negative about too much French and not enough English 🙄 seriously, this is a campsite in France!!! English is a bonus, we should never be expecting it 🙈 I can’t stand hearing British people giving it ‘alright love’ not difficult to at least learn Bonjour!|Anyway back to les Sablons… also shocked by people who say it’s quiet or nothing to do 😮 I found it definitely not to be quiet, in fact I wouldn’t recommend if you wanted a quiet holiday especially not during peak times. We were here for the long Ascension bank holiday and it was party time in full flow so can’t even imagine in July and August! Probably too busy and loud for my liking.|We came here with our 3 year old and have to say it was amazing. I’d love to come back with my 13 year old too next time as don’t think she’d be bored either.|Accommodation was perfectly acceptable, not spotlessly clean but very quickly becomes full of stones and sand anyway with a child and a dog. |100m from the beach which is huge and goes on for miles and miles. We brought our bikes with us and just loved riding along the canal du midi as well everyday and visiting other parts of the beaches. Perfect location for that. Then coming back for the evening’s entertainment. I think the entertainment staff are lovely and so hard working, very polite and friendly. We live in the mountains normally so my 3 year old was awe struck by the music and dancing and all the other kids to play with. |Very dog friendly often a member of staff would bring a bowl of water for our dog and lots of them dotted about. Loads of places to walk dogs around and they are allowed on the beaches on a lead. ||Now the negatives, although these points would definitely not stop us from coming back again!|The restaurant food was not great, servers were doing their best but it was very disorganised. I guess from not having full staff yet and a very very busy bank holiday weekend. |The pool gets packed, apparently there are plans to build another one and I hope so because if they keep expanding the accommodation and not the pools the. It’d be even worse than...

Read moreStayed here for 9 nights with Eurocamp, 2 adults and 2 kids in a 3 bedroom mobile home. The caravan was really good, clean, with lots of "living space". The mattresses were awful though, sliding off the bed and with non-fitted sheets, the sheets would need re-fitting a million times a day, especially in the kids rooms.
The park is very well kept, however the staff are ignorant to guests, especially the cleaning and general handymen staff. The site has a rule of between 00:00 and 07:00 the site is strictly silent, this is mostly kept to, but bang on 7am, the staff are shouting to each other and driving tractors / buggies around the site sorting bins out etc. Our site happened to be near the staff building, so maybe it's a bit biased, but I couldn't believe how loud they were at 7am, I mean it was ridiculous.
Everywhere is sand on the camp, with exception to roads, tennis courts etc. The sand gets everywhere, in the caravan, in the bed, in the bathroom. After 1 day the floor of the caravan was disgusting, and our feet were even worse. It's almost impossible to keep the floor clean and "nice" under your feet.
The campsite has access to the beach. We found with a pushchair it's actually easier to leave the site from the front gates and walk down the road to the beach. Much less sand to compete with when getting the little one on to the beach. The beach is really really good, clean and fine sand. The tide comes almost all the way up the beach though
Every Wednesday and Friday, a market is held just outside the camp site, it's nothing spectacular, but some good deals on food and clothing can be picked up.
Kids entertainment was a mini disco, which the kids absolutely loved and the staff were really really good. The mini disco is at 8.30pm which was a little late however for our 3yr old.
In all the holiday was really good and it's definitely a place I'd return too when the kids are older.
Also, one last thing, when you approach the camp site, slow down after the round about. The road is in a bad state because...
