I returned last week from an over 50's skiing holiday having had a wonderful stay in Les Houches. The team that ran the chalet Chalupa couldn't have been more helpful. As the website promised, we were given a 'personalised' service. ||I'm reticent to give negative reviews when clearly so much effort has been put into making the holiday an enjoyable one, but I do feel the accommodation hardly justified the description of 'luxury' and 'exclusive' where 'quality is paramount'. For example the lure of fluffy towelling robes and slippers was misleading (there were some rather tired looking robes by the sauna).||The chalet is described as spacious. This was borderline where the shared areas were concerned but inaccurate with regards to my bedroom. I shared a 'standard' room which was very basic, small and rather shabby. The shower fixture was coming off the wall and the bathroom radiator didn't work (both reported). At only £50 less than a standard room this did not represent good value for money . ||The photo of the chalet (described as a flagship) is also rather misleading as it's position is adjacent to a busy main road. And I'd hardly call it's position ski-in, ski-out. ||With a less effusive website description and lower priced holiday I'd have given a five star rating. However to finish on a more positive note, I cannot emphasize enough that the Cold Fusion staff were delightful as were the...

Read moreWith some trepidation and excitement, I booked for a solo skiers week for over 50's for the first week in March 2025 in Chalet Chalupa. I needn't have worried. The trip was much more than I could have hoped for. The group was an eclectic mix of people, with mixed abilities who love to ski, socialize respectfully, and relax after a day on the slopes. The chalet was warm and spacious and comfortable, the food was fantastic, and the staff and fellow travelers were welcoming and friendly. We skied somewhere different each day, and nothing was too much trouble for Stephen and Fede who dropped us and collected us daily from the gondola stations. The sky was blue and the sun shone, and the snow was good, what more could you ask for! The pistes were groomed nightly ready for each new day. There was a heated boot room ready for our return each evening to the chalet and a delicious cake waited for us on the table, along with plenty of wine to unwind our tired ski muscles. I would wholeheartedly recommend this trip and hope I will return. I would like say a big thank you to Stephen and all the team and my fellow...
