Avoid this Darty and go to the Boulanger across the road. At Boulanger you will get much better service, in a far nicer (and cleaner) environment.
The previous visit to Darty Antibes was to pick-up an online order from Fnac. The pick-up machine did not work so had to queue for 20 mins (with only one customer ahead of me) to then have the service advisor tell me I didn't scan my barcode correctly... but when she tried (after glaring at me with a face like thunder) she got the same error code. She then simply put my name into her pos/till and printed out a new barcode to scan which worked. Merci Madame. Sigh. Then eyes to heaven all round.
Today, went to pick-up a Darty online order. First, it's a week later than expected, because I chose the product (an inkjet printer) specifically because it stated online that it was "in stock" and would be available for collection the next day. When I didn't receive my confirmation email, I called to see if my printer was there but the "service" advisor said that she could see that there was an error in the website and the product was actually NOT in stock and had to be ordered from the manufacturer, so it would take at least a week to arrive. Today, went in and had to queue in one of two lines for three tills. Yes, nonsense and total lack of organisation/management. After 20 mins, I get to the till only to be told I cannot just pick up my order, I need to find a floor assistant and ask them to find it for me!
I can only conclude that the girl was RACIST and would not serve me because I am of Korean origin. No other person of 7 or so that were served while I was waiting were told to go elsewhere.
So I have to hunt down a floor sales person and then follow him around the store while he looks for an available terminal to key in the details of my order. He finds it on the system, then walks all the way back across the store to go in behind the girl who would not serve me to find my package. He didn't say to wait at the terminal so I followed him there thinking I could then just take my package and leave, but no, I had to follow him back across the store again for him to key in some details and then let me take the package.
Awful service. I hate this Darty and hope to never need to enter it again.
Go to Boulanger. You'll have a much better experience :)

I DO NOT accept your EMPTY APOLOGY.
If you were sincere, you would apologise for my customer experience not meeting YOUR expectations for how YOU expect YOUR staff to service your customers. Then, I would expect you to apologise for my bad experience, not that you are just "sorry to see" my review of it.
If my poor treatment is genuinely "absolutely not in your habits", then please let me know why I was singled out for this exceptionally poor treatment and what actions you will be taking to ensure that people of all races can be assured of respectful treatment within your store?
You appear to think that the only issue I had was with the length of time I had to wait for service??
You fail to even acknowledge my main points of complaint, which are: False advertising/representation of product availability on your website. The RACIST till personnel who refused to provide me with my order. The nonsense pickup process. The floor sales person said that you send customers to them when the tills are too busy, but there were less people queueing than when I arrived; and if that is your procedure then you should inform customers in the queue before they wait 20 mins and before they to reach the till.
I only made this order with you/Darty because the printer I wanted was not in stock at Boulanger, but in truth, you did not have it in stock either.
I see no reason to enter your store again (unless the product you sold me is faulty) and I will be sure to tell as many people as possible about your staff's offensive racist behaviour and your total refusal to take responsibility for anything that happens...
   Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience at Darty yesterday when I went to purchase a new fridge. My fridge at home is malfunctioning, and I urgently needed a replacement. The salesperson assured me that they could have the fridge delivered the very next day, which is the sole reason I decided to make the purchase at Darty. He even promised that I would receive shipping information by yesterday evening or, at the latest, early this morning.
Well, guess what? Nothing. No shipping info, no fridge, nothing. I wasted an entire day waiting at home, only to find out that the fridge wouldnât arrive for another 7 days! When I called the store to address this, they not only refused to take accountability but even tried to shift the blame onto me, suggesting I should have looked at the receipt more carefully. Unbelievable!
And to top it all off, they admitted that delivering anything within 24 hours was "technically impossible" since it takes at least 48 hours just to prepare a shipment. If thatâs the case, why did the salesperson outright lie to me?
This kind of dishonesty and poor customer service is unacceptable. I expected better from Darty and wonât be returning...

Le livreur nous a appelĂ©s hier avec une attitude dĂ©sagrĂ©able, et il refuse toujours de reconnaĂźtre quâil nous a facturĂ© 55 euros pour deux tuyaux de rallonge.
En tant que consommateurs ordinaires, nous souhaitons simplement que la machine Ă laver soit installĂ©e correctement. En pleine pĂ©riode de dĂ©mĂ©nagement, nous sommes trĂšs occupĂ©s : nous nâavons aucune raison dâaccuser Ă tort un livreur que nous ne connaissons pas, ni de perdre notre temps Ă rĂ©diger des comptes rendus inutiles. Nous demandons uniquement un traitement Ă©quitable et juste.

Vous avez effectivement pris contact et mâavez informĂ© que le livreur ne reconnaĂźt pas le fait que le tuyau rallonge a Ă©tĂ© facturĂ© 55 euros. Il vous a demandĂ© de fournir une photo de lâemballage du tuyau rallonge, mais celui-ci nâĂ©tait pas emballĂ©.

Le livreur ne reconnaßt pas avoir encaissé 55 euros en espÚces. Nous avons déjà conservé les preuves.
Le livreur a-t-il gagnĂ© de lâargent en cachette et Ă©tait-il tellement content quâil en a oubliĂ© dâinstaller le tuyau de drainage ?

Tout dâabord, la livraison a eu une heure de retard sans aucune information prĂ©alable. Ensuite, le livreur mâa facturĂ© 55âŻâŹ pour un tuyau de rallonge, sans me fournir la moindre facture ni justificatif de paiement.
Plus grave encore, la machine a Ă©tĂ© mise en marche sans que le tuyau de vidange ne soit installĂ©, ce qui a entraĂźnĂ© une importante fuite dâeau sur le sol.
Jâai immĂ©diatement contactĂ© le livreur, qui mâa assurĂ© quâil reviendrait rĂ©gler le problĂšme. Cependant, il nâest jamais revenu et ne rĂ©pond plus Ă mes appels depuis.
Je considĂšre cette situation comme totalement inacceptable et demande : Le remboursement immĂ©diat des 55âŻâŹ facturĂ©s sans justificatif. La prise en charge des dommages causĂ©s par la fuite dâeau. Une explication Ă©crite concernant le comportement du livreur.
