Outstanding Normandy Tour with Phillip and Aziz – A Truly Memorable Experience

Our family recently booked a private tour with Normandy Private Tours, and it turned out to be one of the absolute highlights of our trip. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, informative, and deeply meaningful.

Phillip, our guide, was extraordinary. His knowledge of the history of Normandy, D-Day, and the surrounding region went far beyond what you’ll ever read in history books. He brought the past to life with personal stories, local insights, and thoughtful context that made each stop along the way much more powerful. His passion for the subject was evident, and we walked away with a much deeper understanding and appreciation of what took place here.

Aziz, our driver, also deserves special recognition. He handled the logistics smoothly, allowing us to focus fully on the experience without ever worrying about timing or comfort. His professionalism and attention to detail helped make the day flow perfectly.

Abegaelle at Normandy Tours was a pleasure to work with right from the start. She responded promptly to my email inquiry and knew exactly what was needed to plan our visit to Normandy for DDay 2025. She put together a comprehensive 5 day tour including a great stop in Ruen after our pickup in Paris. Then each day we had professional and knowledgeable tour guides, each specializing in the areas we visited. Phillip our guide for the two days at the Normandy beaches was especially standout! He knows his history.

Abegalle also took care of our dinner reservations each night with great recommendations.

Everything went very smoothly without even a small hitch. Our group of 7 fit comfortably in the large van provided. Thibo, our driver for most of the trip was courteous and took good care of us.

My 85 year old dad had a fantastic time which was the most important outcome for the trip. It was something he’s always wanted to do and his two sons, three grandsons and son-in-law tried our best to keep up with him!

Just had an amazing private tour with Adrian as our guide and Hugo as our driver. We were able to get off the ship and beat the tour busses to the major stops and therefore were able to enjoy our very short time in Normandy as much as possible. Because of this we were able to enjoy a very nice lunch at a local restaurant a bit away from the tourist sites and also got an unexpected mini tour of the city of Bayeux, which is absolutely amazing and a place I never would have thought to have gone before. For my family of 4, this private tour was the same price as getting on a ship excursion with a bus load of people and being rushed to only a few sites. This was a no-brainer to book and I’d book this company over and over again should I return to Normandy and I’ll recommend them to any friends and family who come to this region as well.
