Namasty India — Restaurant in Le Havre

Well, as hopeful as I was to enjoy my dinner at this place, they managed to kill my enthusiasm and my appetite in no time. Firstly, as an Indian living in Europe for quite sometime, I had a hunch what to expect from Indian restaurants tailored for European population but boi was it off the field..... They served naan with starters..... That's not the Indian way, should've walked out by then already but I stayed for a full experience. Then came the entrees ..... Butter agneau and shahi poulet.... The gravy was sweet, as sweet as kheer as I felt it and not to forget, my friend that tagged along had a stomach ache from the under baked starter.... We went to this place because we love the Indian Kitchen (we have travelled around India a couple of weeks) and the reviews looked really good to us at that moment. (But were they written by real guests? We wonder) Anyway, it was a big disappointment. The waiter was not in good shape, it looked like he was at least a little bit drunk or maybe hungover from the day before?, everything went wrong with the drinks and our order. They seemed not to understand what we were asking, but that could have been because our French is not perfect. Service is outstanding! The food is second to none I love this place! Quite atmosphere and CLEAN. The level of care is above and beyond. Cant gush enough you must try it for yourself.

After multiple visit I'm still in love with this restaurant. I ordered chicken tika mousala and shrimp madras. Both plates are incredible and I recommend them to anyone. We had an appetizer called Pakora Aubergine, this is potatoes and onions fried together into an almost waffle fry looking work of genius.
