GALLAND — Local services in Loches

Two experiences: the first one - I was looking for a bottle of scotch and an arrogant guy who didn't know the difference between scotch and whiskey tried to sell me a cheap bottle. I asked him why he was trying to sell me a blend at the cost of a vintage bottle and he said "because the vintage bottle you can find in the supermarket. Go get it there." I wanted to ask the manager, but I gave up. ONE STAR ANSWER!

Second experience: as friends told me that the store is OK, but that this particular salesman is horrible, I tried again. Another salesman, a young man who politely advised me to choose a very good local white wine (Vouvray). Warm and professional salesman. FOUR STAR LEVEL.

This a local food and drink speciality shop in Amboise. We visited recently and enjoyed browsing and looking over the various products on offer.

Purchased some goat's cheese and olive bread to enjoy later that evening back in our rental property. Both were very good, worthy of making a return visit.
